This three-volume set of LNCS 14086, LNCS 14087 and LNCS 14088 constitutes - in conjunction with the double-volume set LNAI 14089-14090- the refereed proceedings of the 19th International Conference on Intelligent Computing, ICIC 2023, held in Zhengzhou, China, in August 2023. The 337 full papers of the three proceedings volumes were carefully reviewed and selected from 828 submissions. This year, the conference concentrated mainly on the theories and methodologies as well as the emerging applications of intelligent computing. Its aim was to unify the picture of contemporary intelligent computing techniques as an integral concept that highlights the trends in advanced computational intelligence and bridges theoretical research with applications. Therefore, the theme for this conference was "Advanced Intelligent Computing Technology and Applications". Papers that focused on this theme were solicited, addressing theories, methodologies, and applications in science and technology.

This volume, in conjunction with the two volumes CICS 0002 and LNCS 4681, constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Third International Conference on Intelligent Computing held in Qingdao, China, in August 2007. The 139 full papers published here were carefully reviewed and selected from among 2,875 submissions. These papers offer important findings and insights into the field of intelligent computing.

The International Conference on Intelligent Computing (ICIC) was set up as an annual forum dedicated to emerging and challenging topics in the various aspects of advances in computational intelligence fields, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, bioinformatics, and computational biology, etc. The goal of this conference was to bring together researchers from academia and industry as well as practitioners to share ideas, problems and solutions related to the multifaceted aspects of intelligent computing. This book constitutes the proceedings of the International Conference on Intelligent Computing (ICIC 2005), held in Hefei, Anhui, China, during August 23–26, 2005. ICIC 2005 received over 2000 submissions from authors in 39 countries and regions. Based on rigorous peer reviews, the Program Committee selected 563 high-quality papers for presentation at ICIC 2005; of these, 215 papers were published in this book organized into 9 categories, and the other 348 papers were published in five international journals. The organizers of ICIC 2005 made great efforts to ensure the success of this conference. We here thank the members of the ICIC 2005 Advisory Committee for their guidance and advice, the members of the Program Committee and the referees for reviewing the papers, and the members of the Publication Committee for checking and compiling the papers. There is presently a drastic growth in multimedia data. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we observed that images helped doctors immensely in the rapid detection of Covid-19 infection in patients. There are many critical applications in which images play a vital role. These applications use raw image data to extract some useful information about the world around us. The quick extraction of valuable information from raw images is one challenge that academicians and professionals face in the present day. This is where image processing comes into action. Image processing’s primary purpose is to get an enhanced image or extract some useful information from raw image data. Therefore, there is a major need for some technique or system that addresses this challenge. Intelligent Systems have emerged as a solution to address quick image information extraction. In simple words, an Intelligent System can be defined as a mathematical model that adapts itself to deal with a problem’s dynamicity. These systems learn how to act so an image can reach an objective. An Intelligent System helps accomplish various image-processing functions like enhancement, segmentation, reconstruction, object detection, and morphing. The advent of Intelligent Systems in the image-processing field has leveraged many critical applications for humankind. These critical applications include factory automation, biomedical imaging analysis, decision econometrics, as well as related challenges.
