David Crockett (1786 – 1836) was an American folk hero, frontiersman, soldier, and politician. He is commonly referred to in popular culture by the epithet "King of the Wild Frontier". He represented Tennessee in the U.S. House of Representatives and served in the Texas Revolution. He writes as introduction of his memoirs - "In the following pages I have endeavoured to give the reader a plain, honest, homespun account of my state in life, and some few of the difficulties which have attended me along its journey, down to this time. I am perfectly aware, that I have related many small and, as I fear, uninteresting circumstances; but if so, my apology is, that it was rendered necessary by a desire to link the different periods of my life together, as they have passed, from my childhood onward, and thereby to enable the reader to select such parts of it as he may relish most, if, indeed, there is any thing in it which may suit his palate."

The Tribune began publication in 1875 in what was then Blount County. It was one of the earliest papers published in the area after the end of the Civil War. Cullman was founded by German immigrants after the establishment of the old South and North railroad in 1872. Cullman grew quickly and became a county of its own in 1877. The earliest surviving issues of the Tribune were microfilmed by the State Archives in Montgomery and the film was studied for all announcements of births, marriages, deaths, obituaries, and news important to the history and development of Cullman County. The result is a fascinating book which details the early lives of Cullman County settlers recorded in the pages of its very first newspaper.

Writing books is hard for me because I cannot clearly see. It is impossible to remember lost poems, so you will be getting new poems. The poem Forgiveness is in all my books. Caleb and I have learned so much about walking the talk that we teach you by writing this and the other books of the series. This book has ongoing instructions about why and how to avoid demonic happenings and attacks from Satan. Most of this book is nonfiction, but the fiction stories are just as amazing. I feel that by not attempting to write this book for the third time would be to cheat my readers of valuable information about the kingdom of God. It covers new topics left off from books 2 and 3. Book 2 is a high school-level Bible study. Book 3 is for college, and book 5 is your doctorate level. Book 4 is found on another source and is a colored paperback.
