Zusammenfassung: This is an open access book. The position of Indonesia and most countries in IMF calculations, facing the same challenges. Each country requires the legal instruments of a good and reliable system of Government to guards against the worst possible economic turmoil. Good governance is an insistence of the constitution in the economic Article 33 paragraph (5), subsequently published Constitution Number: 30 Year of 2014 on Government Administration, contains 17 principles of a good governance. One of the important points of the principle is a government without corruption and manipulation of policy concepts in order to provide access to consolidation in politics and economy. The latest Transparency International report for 2023 shows that Indonesia's corruption perception index was recorded at 34 points on a scale of 0-100 in 2022. This is a 4-point decrease from the previous year. This decline in the CPI also brought down the ranking of Indonesia's CPI globally. It was noted that Indonesia's CPI in 2022 ranked 110th. In the previous year, Indonesia's CPI was ranked 96th globally. Good Governance is all aspects related to the control and supervision of the power of the Government in carrying out its functions through formal and informal institutions. To implement the principles of Good Governance and Clean Government, the Government must implement the principles of accountability and efficient resource management. Good and clean governance will contribute to economic growth and economic growth will have an impact on human development. During the last decades of 20th century, the needs for a good governance has given some impacts and became a recurring theme in literature related to human development. The intervention of government or the quality of government become crucially important in relation to the high achievement of human development. Whereas an effort in improving society's welfare is through economic development. One of dominant aspects in economic development is through legal development. Good law or policy in such country will have some impacts to the existence of good economic growth because supremacy of law is one aspect of a good governance. Law supremacy is an important institution which is related to economic growth because rule of law ensures personal safety, property rights, unbiased contract enforcement, stability of politics, freedom of speech and control of corruption. According to those various issues and debates on economic, legal development and good governance, then the Doctoral Program of the Faculty of Law Sebelas Maret University needs to hold an international conference as a place in exchanging some academic ideas in order to contributes to those legal issues with a theme, "INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON LAW, ECONOMICS, AND GOOD GOVERNANCE"

Thirty years after the adoption of the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child, this book provides diverse perspectives from countries and regions across the globe on its implementation, critique and potential for reform. The book revolves around key issues including progress in implementing the CRC worldwide; how to include children in legal proceedings; how to uphold children’s various civil rights; how to best assist children at risk; and discussions surrounding children’s identity rights in a changing familial order. Discussion of the CRC is both compelling and polarizing and the book portrays the enthusiasm around these topics through contrasting and comparative opinions on a range of topics. This Element first reviews the limitations of the concepts of problems in childhood. It proposes a universal, comprehensive, and longitudinal conceptual framework of problems in childhood, their differential context, and their cyclical effects. Based on the linkages identified in the children's problems, they are divided into three levels, primary, secondary, and tertiary. The Element then reviews the concepts and the limitations of the prevalent service delivery approaches of child welfare, protection, and justice, because of which these services have not helped to break the cycle of problems in childhood. The Element identifies the rights-based comprehensive, preventive, and systemic approach for child welfare, at primary, secondary and tertiary prevention levels, in order to break this cycle of problems. Finally, the Element goes into details of the tertiary prevention level integrated service delivery for children facing socio-legal problems.

In armed conflicts around the world, children are being killed, raped, abducted and recruited to fight at a shocking scale. In light of this continuing general failure to protect children in conflict, it is questionable whether existing international law norms and institutions provide sufficient protection and accountability. Consideration needs to be given to whether international law can do more – practically and effectively – when moral lines are crossed. That is the purpose of this book. It reviews the position of children in armed conflict by reference to the 'six grave violations' as identified by the UN Security Council. It analyses the protection offered by international humanitarian law, international criminal law and international human rights law, and also assesses the related adjudicative accountability mechanisms. The analysis concludes with a number of recommendations and proposals for reform, with a view to enhancing accountability and deterring future violations. The book has been written by a team of lawyers, headed by Shaheed Fatima QC, and has drawn on the input of an expert advisory panel comprising leading academics, policy-makers and activists. It has been written as part of the Inquiry on Protecting Children in Conflict. The Inquiry has been sponsored by Save the Children and Theirworld and chaired by former UK Prime Minister, Gordon Brown.

The Sourcebook-IV provides training modules for rights-based integrated child protection service delivery systems at the secondary and tertiary prevention levels. Part 1 of the Sourcebook focuses on the preventative, comprehensive, integrated and systemic, and universal community-based and family-based service delivery systems for children; and the methods of case management and outcomes-based project cycle. Part 2 discusses children and families at risk and the role of community-based Integrated Childcare and Support Centres for providing supplementary care and support services to them at the secondary prevention level. It also focuses on children facing sociolegal problems such as deprivation of parental care, violence, and conflict with law, and the role of District-based Integrated Child Protection Centres for providing protection, justice and rehabilitation to them at the tertiary prevention level. Part 3 focuses on children in emergencies in general and in specific situations and role of Integrated Child Protection Centres in these situations. This is a necessary read for social workers, lawyers, researchers, trainers and teachers working on child rights across the world, and especially in developing countries.
