Title 19 presents regulations governing customs duties as set forth by the U.S. Customs Service, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and the International Trade Administration. Additions and revisions to this section of the code are posted annually by April. Publication follows within six months.

The Code of Federal Regulations is a codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the Executive departments and agencies of the United States Federal Government. 19 CFR Parts 0-140 may be helpful in preparations for the Customs Broker Examination for licensing. Additionally, the Harmonized Tarriff Schedule may also be helpful for preparations for this examination as a prerequisite for licensing.
