BOOK EXCERPT:
"The Realm of Sedenions: A Look Into Higher-Complex Numbers" dives into the fascinating world of sedenions, a 16-dimensional number system with unique properties. The book explores the motivation behind studying sedenions, their formal definition with addition and non-commutative, non-associative multiplication, and how they differ from familiar number systems like real and complex numbers. While sedenions lack widespread practical applications yet, the book delves into potential areas of exploration in physics and computer science. It also highlights the challenges mathematicians face due to the complex multiplication rules and the lack of a straightforward geometric interpretation for these high-dimensional numbers. The book provides historical context by mentioning James Joseph Sylvester, who introduced sedenions. While directly visualizing 16 dimensions is difficult, the book discusses potential approaches like subspace projections and geometric analogies to gain a better understanding. Exercises tailored to the audience's level and a resource section for further exploration round out the book, making it a valuable resource for anyone curious about venturing beyond the realm of familiar numbers.

BOOK EXCERPT:
What if mathematicians discovered a secret code embedded in math disclosing an amazing work of art hidden in the numbers? Just such a code of astounding beauty was discovered in the 1980s. The artworks displayed in this book have always existed, built into the numbers at creation. Dr. Lisle suggests that only the Christian worldview can make sense of this secret code. As such, the images in this book are a demonstration of the truth of that worldview. Demonstrates that even abstract concepts like numbers could not exist apart from God Shows the beauty of God’s design and creation through full-color representations of numbers Confirms that the Christian worldview makes sense of mathematics and mathematical properties

BOOK EXCERPT:
Even when life is going well, we still may sense that something is missing or just beyond our reach. This awareness of being unsatisfied on some level is recognition that we are not living our infinite potential. So what would it look and feel like to “be infinite” in the human experience on Earth? In an inspiring guide to transformation, intuitive Sally Heidtke and her Divine guides take an in-depth look at what it means to be infinite and the four barriers that often stand in the way of being fully engaged in our life’s purpose. After sharing insight into what’s in our Divine design as we enter this lifetime, Heidtke explores the aspect of spirit and how it grows through our experiences, the four things that prevent us from being infinite, and other key concepts. Additionally, she introduces Spiritual Milestone, a hidden pattern or undercurrent initiated during childhood that drives much of our inner experiences and prevents us from realizing our infinite potential. Included are reflective questions that help us understand our own Spiritual Milestone and provide guidance on how to apply it in everyday life to find joy, implement purposeful actions, and grow spiritually. Be Infinite shares wisdom and an innovative concept that will help anyone powerfully transform obstacles into insight and ultimately find the path to be infinite.

"God's Code: My Journey of Discovery" is the result of that calling—a journey into the depths of spirituality and the mysteries of existence. In these pages, I'll share my own experiences and insights, hoping they might shed light on your own path. This isn't about preaching or claiming to have all the answers. It's about sharing a journey—a journey of faith, doubt, and ultimately, understanding. Whether you're a seeker, a skeptic, or somewhere in between, my hope is that you'll find something here to resonate with. So, come along on this journey with me. BOOK EXCERPT:
Getting certified to teach high school mathematics typically requires completing a course in real analysis. Yet most teachers point out real analysis content bears little resemblance to secondary mathematics and report it does not influence their teaching in any significant way. This textbook is our attempt to change the narrative. It is our belief that analysis can be a meaningful part of a teacher's mathematical education and preparation for teaching. This book is a companion text. It is intended to be a supplemental resource, used in conjunction with a more traditional real analysis book. The textbook is based on our efforts to identify ways that studying real analysis can provide future teachers with genuine opportunities to think about teaching secondary mathematics. It focuses on how mathematical ideas are connected to the practice of teaching secondary mathematics–and not just the content of secondary mathematics itself. Discussions around pedagogy are premised on the belief that the way mathematicians do mathematics can be useful for how we think about teaching mathematics. The book uses particular situations in teaching to make explicit ways that the content of real analysis might be important for teaching secondary mathematics, and how mathematical practices prevalent in the study of real analysis can be incorporated as practices for teaching. This textbook will be of particular interest to mathematics instructors–and mathematics teacher educators–thinking about how the mathematics of real analysis might be applicable to secondary teaching, as well as to any prospective (or current) teacher who has wondered about what the purpose of taking such courses could be.
