BOOK EXCERPT:
Light in Darkness re-centers theology in God as the focus of the enormous efforts of research in current scholarship. It addresses the way the topic of God is treated—or not treated—in both cultural and religious circles, and even its comparative absence in church communications.

BOOK EXCERPT:
In a moving narrative Max Krakauer describes his life-threatening odyssey at a time when Germany was being changed by war. Under most difficult circumstances, Max Krakauer and his wife were fearful of being discovered and arrested, but they also were constantly supported and hidden by courageous rescuers, many of whom followed their Christian conscience. This book first appeared in 1947 and was reprinted several times. Now it is finally available in an English translation. The translator, Hans Martin Wuerth, Professor Emeritus, Moravian College, Bethlehem in Pennsylvania, has lived in the United States since 1953. His wife, Ursula, is the daughter of the Righteous Gentiles Otto and Gertrud Mörike, two of the primary coordinators of the Krakauers' stirring escape. During his teaching career, from 1964 to 2001, Dr. Wuerth lectured and wrote on German Language and Literature, the History of National Socialism and the Holocaust. Added to Max Krakauer's original text are maps, a chronology of the various escape routes, and a detailed Epilogue about the lives of the Krakauer couple following their liberation.

BOOK EXCERPT:
The stories in this book illustrate the dynamic indigenous partners of Engage Today who have established missions to reach their own people with the Gospel. These leaders are committed to church planting and evangelism among the unreached, and are examples of humbly serving with Biblical childlike faith. The vision of Engage Today is to build mutually beneficial relationships between Canadian churches and faithful indigenous missions so the missions are mobilized to bring the Gospel to the remaining unreached peoples and the Canadian Church finds a renewed passion and vision for mission. Over two billion people have not yet heard the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Engage Today was established in order that Christ be proclaimed to the remaining unreached. Engage Today currently links Canadians with twenty indigenous mission leaders who oversee over 850 local staff in five countries—India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, and Indonesia. Their ministries are steadily bearing fruit through disciple-making, and these missions have planted thousands of churches.

BOOK EXCERPT:
Laughter is the light that seeps into the darkest moment of our lives. It is the only wisdom that brings us closer to our human nature. Let There Be Light In Darkness is a culmination of twenty-five years of reflection on meaningful existence and seeking simplicity in truth and purpose. The sole purpose in writing poetry is to awaken the conscious mind and to let the human spirit live in the wholeness of reality. As a physician, I have used poetry to heal the ailing soul by using a holistic and integrative approach to medicine. Words have the power to move the masses and change perception of reality so that humanity can strive toward greater good. Truth can only be known once we shed light into darkness and come out of our shadowy existence fully formed. Let There Be Light In Darkness is my way of looking deep into life’s finite existence and walking toward my end with every moment of my beginning.

BOOK EXCERPT:
A fun, creative, non-stop adventure! Tait brings us a well-realized magical world full of double dealing, action, and romance that fans of urban fantasy (like me!) will really love. -Chris Marie Green, author of ONLY THE GOOD DIE YOUNG, Ghost for Hire, Book 1 An ancient, deadly magic is rising, and she’s the only one who can harness it… Kate Hamilton hates being treated like an outcast. Born a powerless Null to America's pre-eminent magical family, she escapes to a distant college and the life of a theater major. The last thing she wants is to be dragged into her family's war for global domination against the rival Makris clan. But when an innocent favor pulls Kate into a perilous contest with a legendary magical stone, she plunges into their dangerous world of spellcasting and scheming. A world Kate's sexy, devious boyfriend Kris is all too familiar with… Hardened magical operative Kristof "Kris" Makris chafes under the rule of his lunatic father, but he's found the perfect way to overthrow his leader and save his people. But the artifact he needs is in the hands of the Hamilton family, and each attempt to steal it from Kate brings him closer to blowing his cover. If he does, he'll do more than alert his father to his treachery. He'll lose Kate. And that possibility bothers him more than he cares to admit. As the ancient power inside the stone begins to transform Kate into a vessel of world-destroying magic, the line between friends and enemies blurs. Kristof must choose between his family and the girl he's grown to love. And Kate must either trust the man she thought she knew or lose herself to the stone’s deadly embrace. BOOK EXCERPT:
The subject of this book has not been treated comprehensively before. For many years I have hesitated to attempt a monographic presentation because I felt uneasy about the idea of delineating something I am not sure about myself, and I felt it might be rash to try to integrate what seemed-and largely still seems-to consist of a heap of tessera not fitting together. The conviction won over, however, that the many details accumulated thus far call for some order now, and that an appraisal of where we stand would be appropriate. This book, I hope, can fill a gap barring the way to further progress in the field. It is not only a compilation of details but also an attempt to delineate the first outlines of a picture-blurry, obscure, and controversial as it must appear. The imagination of the research worker will be aroused, I hope, and stimulate further progress. In addition to data widely dispersed in the literature much unpublished material has been included. The limited space available prevented me from giving all the details known. The subject is also linked to many neighboring fields of study, but these relationships and their ramifications could not be discussed at length. This is a minor shortcoming, however, compared with our great ignorance of the subject in general.

BOOK EXCERPT:
Messages from Heaven about the near Future of our World. By our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and our Mother of Salvation Holy Virgin Mary. Virgin Mary is God's Final Preacher. God is always trying to lead man away from self-destruction. He sends his preachers. He sends his teachers. But these are snuffed out. Their words are not listened to and their invitations are rejected. So, finally, he has sent me. I am his final teacher, his final prophet. I am his last opportunity to change the course of history. There is no one behind me, no other message, no other signs than the ones that I will give. When I tell the world that it must listen to me, I am not speaking from a selfish and arrogant spirit. I am speaking as one who sees the destruction, the hopelessness of mankind if my words are not heeded. The fourth of five books from 2011 until 2015.
