In 1989 I had started to write a book about the art of conscious dying but every time I sat down to write, information that had nothing to do with that concept kept coming through. I decided to meditate to try to figure out what was going on. I started seeing strange faces arising out of the darkness and messages, like a moving LED sign displaying a continuous series of symbols that made no sense to me. Then I would stop meditating and start writing information that didn't seem to be coming from my mind. It seemed as though I was stepping down this other information from these unknown beings and translating it into written words. They wouldn't leave me alone to write my book until finally I agreed to write their book first then they would help me with the book I wanted to write. "Sitting in the Lotus Blossom" is the information they asked me to translate into written language and share with the world. It is about the meaning of life, this life and the life beyond, the evolution of consciousness and who we truly are.I asked them who they were and what they looked like, and using my cartoon drawing talent I drew them as I saw them. I know it's a little weird (and this was during the New Age revolution) but every time I go back and read what I transcribed, I'm amazed at the insight they imparted.

The Lotus Flower is a collection of poetry about healing; mother nature; love; relationships; spirituality; religion; depression amongst many other subjects. The Lotus Flower stays close to mother nature throughout. The poems were written in order to heal from mental health illness and gain a new life of spirituality and wisdom. The poetry depicts life in its minute form and brings small things to life. The poetry is written from a feminist point of view covering many areas of femininity and mother nature. Beginning with the poem 'My Brand New Book, ' shows my second chance in life of writing and living, still staying natural to my environment and my experiences. As the poems develop and come out of their shell I write about depresssion and relationships, asking the question: Who am I ? continuously. The title is inspired from the poem 'About Ancestor Voices' and it was after this poem my poetry was growing into another dimension, especially the lines: ' The lakes are laid with the Lotus, As they have fought from the depths of waters', Carrying hope, light and purity in their shield like petals.'The poetry develops into 'My World' and 'A Poetess Grows' showing the development in the poetry reflecting life. As it develops I express the importance of childhood and religion. As identity in finding life back is explored I return to religion and back to nature. After writing 'The Phoenix' the poetry expresses love and resurrection and how much we can learn from mother nature.

introduction.Every day we are submerged in the unknown and the only anchor in our day is our intuition, the belief that our Higher Self is guiding us on our path. We hold safety in this knowing. For here we can receive undeniable strength and unshakable confidence to pursue our dreams. But even though we hold our self-love close, there are moments of weaknesses, there are circumstances that break us down. We need to remember that this is all part of the process, our life is forever an inner journey of evolution. We are always being given an invitation to lean into the madness and grow our inner strength.We are like the lotus flower, and the hardships in our life reflect the mud amidst the water. The lotus flower will always emerge through the mud to rise and honor the sun, pure and perfect with not a scratch of dirt on its petals. And this is how we must look at our life - with a great sense of knowing that we, too, will rise. Even though we endure difficult times, these experiences only assist in our journey of personal growth. And so despite the mud that could potentially taint our soul, despite the opposing challenges that can cause great suffering, despite the power of our own mind sometimes tricking us down into misery. We will rise again as the beautiful and pure loving light energy that we are.And still, the lotus flower blooms.
