A short time before this work went to press, I was listening to some of my favorite worship music and going over various parts of the completed work. In His still small voice, He told me, David, this is not your book. I quickly replied, Lord, this has never been mine. You wrote this through me. It belongs to You. He then said, David, this is not your book. It is your testimony. I wept so hard and passionately that I now hope everyone who reads this would have the same opportunity to hear our Father say this to them. The months spent listening and writing this were the most painful and profoundly exciting of my entire life. But the results, left up to Him, were being able to see my Savior on the Throne, and myself on the cross. Friends, theres no other way to make it home. . . God has chosen me to speak the deep things from His heart to those who would listen; those who are hungry and thirsty for His righteousness. In a society like ours, filled with choices, it can be very difficult to adhere to the only choice that keeps us on the narrow road; submission to Christ. Sometimes, women are faced with an extremely difficult decision. An unplanned or unwanted pregnancy can seem overwhelming for some. Sharing the message of a loving life option and letting women know that we care about them too is so important. My hopes and prayers are that more women will make the loving and beautiful choice-adoption. I was blessed to have been adopted at birth, and I wanted to share my stories in the hope that they will touch people's hearts. The main reason I began writing was to promote adoption and let people know about the help that is available. Each story is unique and special in its own way and reflects my pro-life mission. It doesn't just talk about today, but talks about the African American People of Color in this country, and what this country has done to them. It points out how this government has taken away the spirit of a people, and possibly thrown away gifts, many gifts that could have possibly been given for the whole world to see and benefit from. Born exposes the reality of slavery and the kind of terrorism that went on throughout that slavery, a terrorism which was done so well that it did exactly what terrorism was supposed to do, by sticking with the AAPC through even to today.
