Welcome to Zhangjiajie for the 3rd International Conference on Computer Network and Mobile Computing (ICCNMC 2005). We are currently witnessing a proliferation in mobile/wireless technologies and applications. However, these new technologies have ushered in unprecedented challenges for the research community across the range of networking, mobile computing, network security and wireless web applications, and optical network topics. ICCNMC 2005 was sponsored by the China Computer Federation, in cooperation with the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Computer Society. The objective of this conference was to address and capture highly innovative and stateof-the-art research and work in the networks and mobile computing industries. ICCNMC 2005 allowed sharing of the underlying theories and applications, and the establishment of new and long-term collaborative channels aimed at developing innovative concepts and solutions geared to future markets. The highly positive response to ICCNMC 2001 and ICCNMC 2003, held in Beijing and Shanghai, respectively, encouraged us to continue this international event. In its third year, ICCNMC 2005 continued to provide a forum for researchers, professionals, and industrial practitioners from around the world to report on new advances in computer network and mobile computing, as well as to identify issues and directions for research and development in the new era of evolving technologies.

On behalf of the Organizing and Program Committees of the 3rd European Conference on Universal Multiservice Networks (ECUMN 2004), it is our great pleasure to introduce the proceedings of ECUMN 2004, which was held during October 25–27, 2004, in Porto, Portugal. In response to the Call for Papers, a total of 131 papers were submitted from 29 countries. Each paper was reviewed by several members of the Technical Program Committee or by external peer reviewers. After careful assessment of thereviews,53paperswereacceptedforpresentationin13technicalsessions;half of them originated from countries outside Europe (mainly Asia). This illustrates the strong interest of this conference beyond its original geographical area. The conference program covered a variety of leading-edge research topics which are of current interest, such as wireless networks, mobile ad hoc networks, sensor networks, mobility management, optical networks, quality of service and tra?c, transport protocols, real-time and multimedia, Internet technologies and applications, overlay and virtual private networks, security and privacy, and network operations and management. Together with three plenary sessions from France T ́ el ́ ecom, Siemens, and Cisco Systems, these technical presentations - dressed the latest research results from the international industry and academia and reported on ?ndings on present and future multiservice networks.

This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post proceedings of the International Conference on Information Networking, ICOIN 2004, held in Busan, Korea, in February 2004. The 104 revised full papers presented were carefully selected during two rounds of reviewing and revision. The papers are organized in topical sections on mobile Internet and ubiquitous computing; QoS, measurement and performance analysis; high-speed network technologies; next generation Internet architecture; security; and Internet applications.

This volume composes the proceedings of the Second International Conference on Computational Collective Intelligence––Technologies and Applications (ICCCI 2010), which was hosted by National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences and Wroclaw University of Technology, and was held in Kaohsiung City on November 10-12, 2010. ICCCI 2010 was technically co-sponsored by Shenzhen Graduate School of Harbin Institute of Technology, the Tainan Chapter of the IEEE Signal Processing Society, the Taiwan Association for Web Intelligence Consortium and the Taiwanese Association for Consumer Electronics. It aimed to bring together researchers, engineers and po- cymakers to discuss the related techniques, to exchange research ideas, and to make friends. Yen (Oklahoma State University, USA), on “Population Control in Evolutionary Multi-objective Optimization Algorithm,” Chin-Chen Chang (Feng Chia University, Taiwan), on “Applying De-clustering Concept to Information Hiding,” Qinyu Zhang (Harbin Institute of Technology, China), on “Cognitive Radio Networks and Its Applications,” and Lakhmi C.

Of the remaining accepted papers, 269 were distributed among 8 volumes of proceedings published by Springer in the CCIS series. 66 papers were withdrawn due to technical reasons.

This book constitutes the refereed post-proceedings of the Joint International Conference on Pervasive Computing and the Networked World, ICPCA-SWS 2012, held in Istanbul, Turkey, in November 2012. This conference is a merger of the 7th International Conference on Pervasive Computing and Applications (ICPCA) and the 4th Symposium on Web Society (SWS). The 53 revised full papers and 26 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 143 submissions. The papers cover a wide range of topics from different research communities such as computer science, sociology and psychology and explore both theoretical and practical issues in and around the emerging computing paradigms, e.g., pervasive collaboration, collaborative business, and networked societies. They highlight the unique characteristics of the "everywhere" computing paradigm and promote the awareness of its potential social and psychological consequences.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the First International Symposium on Mobile Internet Security, MobiSec 2017, held in Jeju Island, Republic of Korea, in October 2017. The 13 revised full papers along with a short paper presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 44 submissions. The papers comprising Vol. I and Vol. II were prepared for and presented at the International Conference on Information Networking 2002 (ICOIN 2002), which was held from January 30 to February 1, 2002 at Cheju Island, Korea.
