Miracle Dog Miracle God

BOOK EXCERPT:

Im more convinced than ever that if youre going to write a book it must come from deep inside you. I believe thats so true regarding the writing of any good book, but particularly this volume. While my first published work The Seers House arrived in one single vision at 3 oclock in the morning, my second endeavour Miracle Dog; Miracle God took a lot longer to emerge. For over ten years following my first publication, I was caught up in the mission field in Romania and literally didnt have time to write a follow-up. Indeed, only after Id returned from Romania and been separated from my best friend Snowbell, our Golden Retriever Labrador, did I really begin to accept that another book may be about to be birthed. I couldnt shake off the writing of this book and so eventually I sat down and wrote it. Nevertheless, Miracle Dog; Miracle God hasnt been the easiest manuscript to create for various reasons. Trying to keep to my subject matter what God the Father taught me about Himself through the love of a dog, when there was so much more to tell about our Romanian endeavours, hasnt been straightforward. Writing each chapter as a parable was equally challenging, but in the end I think Ive managed to produce what has been within me since 2008. Finally, the emotion I experienced writing about this remarkable little dog was quite unexpected. On numerous occasions I would have to literally down tools and shed tears, while at other times I laughed out loud and so enjoyed reminiscing about happier moments with Snowbell. My desire is that Miracle Dog; Miracle God will make you laugh and cry, yet also instruct you about the amazing unconditional love of God. After all, thats exactly what happened to me when I was introduced to Snowbell, a beautiful gift from God to my life, if ever there was one.

BOOK EXCERPT:

Aquinas on God presents an accessible exploration of Thomas Aquinas' conception of God. Focusing on the Summa theologiae – the work containing Aquinas' most systematic and complete exposition of the Christian doctrine of God – Rudi te Velde acquaints the reader with Aquinas' theological understanding of God and the metaphysical principles and propositions that underlie his project. Aquinas' conception of God is dealt with not as an isolated metaphysical doctrine, but from the perspective of his broad theological view which underlies the scheme of the Summa. Readers interested in Aquinas, historical theology, metaphysics and metaphysical discourse on God in the Christian tradition will find this new contribution to the studies of Aquinas invaluable.

The Principles Of Transformation

eBook Download

BOOK EXCERPT:

We are all influenced by our environment and by everything in it. It is easy for some plants to prosper and bear much fruit under certain environmental conditions, but other plants need different climatic conditions. This truth is also valid in relation to human beings. The environment you live in has a bearing on your altitude and your performance. Achievement or success in any area is a function of many factors, including your environment and prevailing circumstances. Therefore, prevailing conditions can either inhibit or enhance your performance and, subsequently, your success. However, factors such as knowledge, wisdom, skill, and attitude can override the outcome of a negative environment or circumstances. For example, gravity is a fact of life, but birds overcome gravity all the time by flapping their wings. Therefore they are able to fly for sustained periods without falling to the ground. In the same way, the application of the right combination of knowledge, skill, and determination can transform any circumstance. This book deals with six timeless mathematical principles, with strong biblical foundations to help anyone or any group transform its present state into a more desirable one.

God S Lecture

eBook Download

BOOK EXCERPT:

God is pissed. In the beginning, God created heaven, earth, and all the animals. They were part of a grand and perfect design. It worked well, and God was pleased. Then one of the animals, man, started altering the design, irritating God. God gave man, unlike the other animals, a little cleverness, which has caused him to jump the tracks. Using this cleverness, man has conceived, created, and implemented incredible unnatural and convoluted ideas, constructs, and systems. These entities are upsetting God's patterns of nature. Man is now doing things God never intended. This has not only made God's plans go haywire but also threatens man himself. God is in high dudgeon because man's imagination is debauching his perfect world. To make matters worse, man audaciously blames God for a world gone crazy. God has patiently endured man's accusations but now intends to set him straight on the true nature of things and explain how he has screwed things up. This is God's lecture, and if man has any inkling of what is good for him, he will listen.
