Becoming a teenage mother in Camden, New Jersey looked like the beginning of the end for Faith to many. At 17 years old, Faith is the mother of two daughters, living on her own, preparing for her high school graduation. She marries the father of her children, overcomes domestic violence, and the rejection of divorce all within the same year. She meets Kevin, a minister of the gospel, whom she falls in love with and marries a few years later. Between the two of them they experienced the deaths of four immediate family members, over a five year period. Their marriage began to swim in the sea of trouble. This edition of the anthems of John Goss (1800–1880) includes a large number of works that have been unavailable beyond their initial nineteenth-century printing.
