The last person was pulled onto the boat. All commotion suddenly died out, and the engine roared alive. The boat, at full speed, left the mouth of Cam Ranh Bay, heading east into the unknown waters of the high seas. It was 2:00 a.m. on October 12, 1979. Here and there hundreds of tiny lights of night fishing boats danced and twinkled in the morning hours. How many of them, I wondered, are patrol boats? After multiple trips to Communist prison camps, Lien Le knew that only death awaited him. He soon began plotting his and his family's escape from Vietnam, working out intricate details in the secrecy of the night. Even after several failed attempts and years of planning, his faith remained, giving him the determination and the hope to press on. The Spirit Stills the Storms: From Tyranny to the American Dream is his bold journey to freedom, one in which he risked all for his dreams of a better tomorrow. His gifted storytelling, filled with detailed description, gives readers a firsthand glimpse of the prison camps, perilous escape attempts, overcrowded boats, typhoon-plagued passages, and beyond, leaving them with a newfound sense of appreciation and wonder for life, liberty, and the ever-present spirit which stills the storms.

The Bible speaks differently of the transference of spirits from the secular world. It speaks of the transference of the anointing of the Holy Spirit from one person to another person or people. This will result in the person or people to whom the spirit has been transferred, walking in similar or even greater manifestation of the Spirit than the person from whom it was transferred. We see this in Elisha, who did twice as much miracles as his spiritual father Elijah, after he received the mantle or transference of his twain spirit. The Bible records that exactly twice as much miracles were done in the ministry of Elisha to that of Elijah. Elijah's last miracle (the parting of River Jordan) was Elisha's first. Consequently, he took off from where his spiritual father had stopped and advanced further beyond him.

A great drought has swept across western North America. The bison are dying, and with them The People. The Chosen One was murdered long ago and The Sacred Relics of the Ancestors stolen. Running Bison is desperate. He and Prairie Grass have traveled far to the west, following a 'gut instinct' in search of Clover Blossom. He hopes that the old woman has the Sacred Relics... but he arrives too late. Clover Blossom is dead and her granddaughter, Sage has fled. Running Bison sees all hope for The People vanishing along with her. Sage has indeed fled; her grandmothers dying words frightening her into taking a large vicious dog and only what she can load on a single travois, along with the strange packet she knows contains 'spirit power'. She has been instructed to protect it with her life, and return it to The People. Set against the Panorama of the Rocky Mountains and Great Plains of North America during late Paleo-Indian's Agate Basin Period, 9,500 years ago, The Spirit Hunters attempts to portray the way of life, the pain, agony, and joy of these early Americans. Get swept along in the life and death struggle of The People as they seek to survive the drought, the wrath of the 'spirits', and the deadly attacks of Raiders and Savages. Their only hope is the powerful leader Running Bison and an even more powerful woman, 'The Chosen'.
