Dear Enthusiastic Medicos, On learning from Amazon kindle regarding their inability to display my Compilation of 200 E-Medical Booklets on their platform, every day at a time, I have endeavored, after negotiating, to introduce an aforesaid Catalog for the enthusiastic Medicos, enabling them to elect their title of choice to buy later on from Amazon kindle straightaway! Further to state that the concept of introducing an aforesaid Catalogue is also based on an overwhelming response from the enthusiastic Medicos, world over in the past and my passion to impart medical knowledge as such, with up-dation whenever possible at an affordable cost! In addition, I would like to state that the concept of an aforesaid Catalogue formation may not be considered as a stoppage of my activity, it would last as long as my cognitive functions are not affected! BOOK EXCERPT:
What is Protein Misfolding Cyclic Amplification? Protein misfolding cyclic amplification (PMCA) is a technique that amplifies misfolded prions. It's used as a test for spongiform encephalopathies like: § Chronic wasting disease (CWD) or § Bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE). PMCA is similar to Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) but doesn't involve nucleotides. It's a widely used in vitro cell-free prion conversion assay. PMCA uses ultrasound waves to fragment the PrP(Sc) polymers, increasing the amount of seeds. PMCA is the sole technique that can successfully amplify the disease-associated, infectious form of the prion protein (PrPSc) in vitro. PMCA has been broadly applied in research areas that include the veterinary disease diagnosis. An attempt has been made in this E-Booklet to describe concisely the entire technique along with the relevant Images for better understanding at one click! Dr. H. K. Saboowala. BOOK EXCERPT:
Differences/Similarities Between Epistatic Gene and Hypostatic Gene. A Concise Overview. Epistasis occurs if the effect of one variant affecting a complex trait depends on the genotype of a second variant affecting the trait. For example, consider two loci (A, B), each with two alleles (A1, A2, B1, B2). Epistasis would occur, for example, if the A2A2B2B2 genotype had a high disease risk, but the eight other possible two-locus genotypes had no effect on risk. This is only one of many possible forms of epistatic interactions between two loci. Epistasis is one of several non-mutually exclusive explanations for small effects, missing heritability and lack of replication of top trait-associated variants in different populations in human genome-wide association studies. Determining epistatic gene action in the context of human disease will improve our understanding of the biological systems that underpin variation in disease risk as well as increase the accuracy of individual risk prediction. Thus, in context with the disease risk as well as increase the accuracy of individual risk prediction, it is endeavoured to address the following key questions/points precisely along with several relevant ILLUSTRATIONS/Table for the busy medicos at one click: 1. Introduction. 2. What is Epistatic Gene? 3. What is Hypostatic Gene? 4. Similarities Between Epistatic Gene and Hypostatic Gene. 5. Side by Side Comparison – Epistatic Gene vs Hypostatic Gene in Tabular Form. 6. Summary. …Dr. H. K. Saboowala. M.B.(Bom) .M.R.S.H.(London)

Exploring “The Current Applications, Advantages & Disadvantages, Ethical Concerns & The Future Hold Of AI in Healthcare.” The healthcare industry is advancing ahead swiftly. For many healthcare organizations, being able to forecast which treatment techniques are likely to be successful with patients based on their makeup and treatment framework is a big step forward. Artificial intelligence has the potential to help healthcare providers in a variety of ways, including patient care and administrative tasks. The technology aims to mimic human cognitive functions, as it offers numerous advantages over traditional analytics and other clinical decision-making tools. Data becomes more precise and accurate, allowing the healthcare industry to have more insights into the processes and patient outcomes. Tus, an effort has been made in this E-Booklet to compile an overview of the use of artificial intelligence in radiology, cardiology, ophthalmology, and drug discovery process along with several relevant Illustrations for better understanding. …Dr. H. What HeLa Cells a.k.a. Immortal Cells Are and Why They Are Important. An Example of Racism in Medicine. HeLa cells are the most well-known and widely used in the biological research community. HeLa cells have played a key role in many of the scientific developments of the last 60+ years including the development of the Polio vaccine, as well as work on HIV and numerous cancer studies. The HeLa cell line has endured as a research model for the last ~70 years because it can be easily grown, is incredibly robust and is available as a free resource from John Hopkins. Moreover, with the volume of work done on these cells it means that it is well characterised making it possible to infer more information. One issue with HeLa cells is that due to their robust nature they can inadvertently end up as contaminants of other cell lines. Thus, an attempt has been made in this E-Booklet to include the following Key Takeaways- Hela Cells: · HeLa cells are the first immortal human cell line. · The cells came from a cervical cancer sample obtained from Henrietta Lack in 1951, without her knowledge or permission. · HeLa cells have led to many important scientific discoveries, yet there are disadvantages to working with them. · HeLa cells have led to the examination of the ethical considerations of working with human cells. Further, it is also attempted to deliver an Image Gallery of several Microscopic views for the enthusiastic Medicos at one click! …Dr. H. K. Saboowala. M.B.(Bom) .M.R.S.H.(London)

BOOK EXCERPT:
Need To Know About “The Leaky Gut Syndrome & Ingredients” That Aid Treat It. A Complete Pedagogy. The human body is exposed daily to potentially harmful substances and agents. The GIT has the most significant load of antigens. The GIT can protect the intestinal integrity by allowing the passage of beneficial agents and blocking the path of harmful substances. Under normal conditions, a healthy intestinal barrier prevents toxic elements from entering the blood stream. However, several factors described in this Booklet can compromise the composition of the intestinal microbiota and the homeostasis of the intestinal barrier function of the intestine, leading to increased intestinal permeability. Intestinal hyperpermeability can allow the entry of harmful agents through the junctions of the intestinal epithelium, which pass into the bloodstream and affect various organs and systems. Thus, leaky gut syndrome and intestinal barrier dysfunction are associated with intestinal diseases. The impact of dietary nutrients on barrier function can be crucial for designing new strategies for patients with the pathogenesis of leaky gut-related diseases associated with epithelial barrier dysfunctions. Thus, it is strived in this E-Booklet to describe the role of functional ingredients, suggested as mediators of leaky gut-related disorders along with plenty of several relevant ILLUSTRATIONS/Tables for better understanding the entity. …Dr. H. BOOK EXCERPT:
Understanding the Migrating Motor Complex (MMC): Movement Governance Mechanisms & its Role in Health and Disease. A Comprehensive Overview. The migrating motor complex (MMC) is a cyclic, recurring motility pattern that occurs in the stomach and small bowel during fasting; it is interrupted by feeding. The MMC is present in the gastrointestinal tract of many species, including humans. The complex can be subdivided into four phases, of which phase III is the most active, with a burst of contractions originating from the antrum or duodenum and migrating distally. Control of the MMC is complex. The role of the vagus nerve in control of the MMC seems to be restricted to the stomach. The physiological role of the MMC is incompletely understood, but its absence has been associated with gastroparesis, intestinal pseudo-obstruction and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. Measuring the motility of the gastrointestinal tract can be important for the diagnosis of gastrointestinal disorders. An attempt has been made in this Booklet to summarize current knowledge of the MMC, especially its role in Health and Disease, along with relevant Illustrations. …Dr. H. K. Saboowala.
