Invitée par la Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU), la Faculté Européenne des Sciences du Foncier (FESF) a organisé son 33e Symposium International 2003 à Vilnius. Ce volume réunit les 27 conférences du Symposium. La publication correspond au programme de la réunion: Part I contient des questions de base, sous l'angle du droit et de la théorie de la protection de l'environnement d'aujourd'hui, part II des études des cas récents de chercheurs lituaniens sur le développement en Lituanie, part III la situation actuelle d'autres pays de la région baltique, de l'Europe Centrale, de l'Est et du Sud. Invited by the Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU), the European Faculty of Land Use and Development (FESF) organized its 33rd International Symposium 2003 in Vilnius. The Volume presents the 27 contributions of the Symposium. The publication follows the program of the Symposium: Part I contains juridical and theoretical fundamentals of actual environmental protection, part II recent case studies on central problems in Lithuania by Lithuanian scientists, part III further fundamental cases from countries in the Baltic Region, in Middle-, East-, and Southern Europe. Der Band enthält die 27 Vorträge des Symposiums. Die Veröffentlichung hält sich an das Programm der Tagung: Teil I enthält rechtliche und theoretische Grundsatzfragen zum Umweltschutz, Teil II neuere Fallstudien von litauischen Wissenschaftlern zu den Entwicklungen in Litauen, Teil III zentrale Fragestellungen aus weiteren Ländern der baltischen Region, Mittel-, Ost- und Südeuropas.

The European Faculty of Land Use and Development, founded in 1980 in Strasbourg, takes a multidisciplinary approach to sustainable land management, in particular in regard to urban development, spatial planning and environmental aspects. The contributions to this volume (German/English) discuss strategies of spatial planning. The experts come from disciplines as diverse as geodesy, jurisprudence, spatial planning, philosophy, economy and political sciences.

Le 32e symposium international 2002 organisé par la Faculté Européenne des Sciences du Foncier (FESF) de Strasbourg était consacré aux problèmes liés au changement des droits fonciers en Europe et dans des pays en voie de transformation et de développement. Les experts réunis à cette occasion se sont notamment penchés sur la problématique du changement du droit sous l'angle de la globalisation, sur l'impact du droit de l'environnement sur la propriété foncière, ainsi que sur la question de l'harmonisation de la juridiction des régions développantes comme la Russie, la Corée du Nord et l'Afrique subsaharienne. Le volume inclut une contribution de Paul Trappe consacrée à la problématique de l'utilisation de l'eau dans les sociétés africaines. On the occasion of the 32nd international symposium 2002, experts of the Faculté Européenne des Sciences du Foncier (FESF) Strasbourg dealt with problems of changes in land rights in Europe and in transforming and developing countries. The contributions focused on fundamental questions of changes in rights under the aspect of globalization, on the influences of the environmental right on land property, and on the question of right adjustment of developing regions like Russia, North Korea and Africa south of the Sahara. The volume includes an appendix by Paul Trappe on the use of water in societies in Africa. Experten der Faculté Européenne des Sciences du Foncier (FESF) Strasbourg befassten sich anlässlich des 32. Symposiums 2002 mit Problemen des Wandels von Bodenrechten in Europa und in Transformations- und Entwicklungsländern. Diskutiert wurden grundlegende Fragen des Rechtswandels unter dem Aspekt der Globalisierung, Einflüsse von Umweltrecht auf Bodeneigentum, sowie die Frage der Rechtsangleichung sich entfaltender Regionen, wie Russland, Nordkorea und Afrika südlich der Sahara. Der Band enthält einen Anhang von Paul Trappe zum Thema Wassernutzung in Gesellschaften Afrikas.
