I hope that through this book, the readers will have developed a larger perspective with which to view the Old Testament and New Testament as a single great flow and to connect the Four Gospels with the rest of the books in the Bible. At the same time, I hope this book will have provided the opportunity to view each of the events in the Gospels in a detailed, even microscopic way. To this end, I earnestly hope that God will grant the readers wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and insight (Ex 31:3; Prov 3:13; Isa 11:1- 2). I hope all of us will obey the will of God contained in His Purpose of Creation, Great Commandment, and Great Commission, and that we may have the same vision that Paul confessed right before his martyrdom: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. The gospel of John, titled simply "According to John" in ancient manuscripts contains some of the simplest language in the New Testament. The Greek of this book is so simple that it is often used in teaching beginning students to read New Testament Greek.
