A Timeless Guide to the Art of Abiding Many a faithful Christian has pondered over Jesus' command in John 15: "abide in me." Compelled by the invitation but baffled by how to practically achieve it, they fail to grasp the power and promise within the Savior’s most important command. South African pastor, teacher, and writer, Andrew Murray, (1828-1917) believed that abiding was the highest call for every Christian; the key to pressing beyond the mere threshold of salvation into the fullness of all that Jesus’s death & resurrection secured. Arguably the finest of Murray’s extensive works, Abide in Christ is a 31-day devotional suffused with glory; a direct invitation to learn and walk in the power of abiding. In this powerful book, readers are given the opportunity to... Unlock the simple secret to practical holiness Surrender their gifts and talents for renewal by the Master Live a lifestyle marked by overflowing joy Access the power of the Holy Spirit Grow in true wisdom and spiritual understanding Offer up their love to be refined and transformed by the infinite love of God Written to be read and re-read, this short book is a timeless guide to the fullness of Jesus’ words in John 15, how to appropriate their power, and how to live the life of abiding every day. “Therefore, my brother, who would learn to abide in Jesus, take time each day, ere you read, and while you read, and after you read, to put yourself into living contact with the living Jesus, to yield yourself distinctly and consciously to His blessed influence; so will you give Him the opportunity of taking hold of you, of drawing you up and keeping you safe in His almighty life.”

The purpose of this book is to bring a better understandingn of how marriages that claim to be in Jesus, have to be more clear about their purpose for marriage in Jesus. If we are to be married according to the way that God has purposed it, we have to make sure that we are abiding in the very life of Jesus Christ as our source of life and love and purpose.

Long before the megachurch, nearly 6,000 people crowded every service to hear Charles Spurgeon. Discover why his masterful preaching astonished his era! Considered by his peers then and now as "The Prince of Preachers", Charles Spurgeon built London's Metropolitan Tabernacle into the world's largest independent congregation during the nineteenth century. While many factors have been highlighted that help explain the effectiveness of Spurgeon's preaching, the foremost secret that empowered Charles Spurgeon was his devotion to prayer. When people would walk through the Metropolitan Tabernacle, Spurgeon would take them to the basement prayer room where people were always on their knees interceding for the church. Then Spurgeon would declare, "Here is the powerhouse of this church. That statement is backed by the amazing number of sermons that Spurgeon preached on prayer. Spurgeon was a great believer and teacher in passionate, Holy Spirit-directed prayer. His word pictures of the majestic throne of grace that God calls believers to be privileged to come before is well worth the price of the book alone. You will be inspired and challenged in your prayer life, especially if you experience struggles in prayer.

This is a book about the primacy and centrality of God and his unsurpassable presence, and what this means for the Church. The presence of God is the core, the sine qua non, of mere Christianity. Gods presence is what is needed to win the day over the present powers of darkness. This book shows what it means for a church to be presence-driven, and what leadership looks like in the presence-driven church.

The first Adam and the Last Adam had the same exact purposeto fill the earth with the image and likeness of God. If you want to know what the Last Adam is going to do, look at what the first Adam was supposed to do. They were two people with the same divine destiny. God did not need His image and likeness in the realm of His pre-creation existence. It was already there. He wants it in the created realm; that is why He created Adam in His image and according to His likeness in the first place. Christs sacrifice on the cross was a son-for-son exchange and redemptive reversal to restore the image, likeness, and light of God back to man in the created realm where He wants it revealed.
