This book contains a comprehensive treatment of advanced LaTeX features. The focus is on the development of high quality documents and presentations, by revealing powerful insights into the LaTeX language. The well-established advantages of the typesetting system LaTeX are the preparation and publication of platform-independent high-quality documents and automatic numbering and cross-referencing of illustrations or references. These can be extended beyond the typical applications, by creating highly dynamic electronic documents. This is commonly performed in connection with the portable document format (PDF), as well as other programming tools which allow the development of extremely flexible electronic documents.

This book presents recent research on interactive collaborative learning. We are currently witnessing a significant transformation in the development of education and especially post-secondary education. To face these challenges, higher education has to find innovative ways to quickly respond to these new needs. On the one hand, there is a pressure by the new situation in regard to the COVID pandemic. This book has emerged out of our long-time research interests on the topic of latex film formation. Over the years we have built up a repertoire of slides used in conference presentations, short courses and tutorials on the topic. The story presented in this book has thereby taken shape as it has been told and re-told to a mix of academic and industrial audiences. The book presents a wide body of work accumulated by the polymer colloids community over the past five decades, but the selection of examples has been flavoured by our particular experimental interests and development of mathematical models. We intend the book to be a starting point for academic and industrial scientists beginning research on latex film formation. The emphasis is on fundam- tal mechanisms, however, and not on applications nor on specific effects of formu- tions. We hope that the book consolidates the understanding that has been achieved to-date in the literature in a more comprehensive way than is possible in a review article. Since about 1915 integration theory has consisted of two separate branches: the abstract theory required by probabilists and the theory, preferred by analysts, that combines integration and topology. As long as the underlying topological space is reasonably nice (e.g., locally compact with countable basis) the abstract theory and the topological theory yield the same results, but for more compli cated spaces the topological theory gives stronger results than those provided by the abstract theory. The possibility of resolving this split fascinated us, and it was one of the reasons for writing this book. The unification of the abstract theory and the topological theory is achieved by using new definitions in the abstract theory. The integral in this book is de fined in such a way that it coincides in the case of Radon measures on Hausdorff spaces with the usual definition in the literature.
