The same library was noticeable for the large number of theatrical works it contained many of these were of the greatest rarity, and in the finest condition. In one respect the most important sale of the season was that held by Messrs. Sotheby on May 7th and following days, when the late Mr. Truman's fine collection of works illustrated by George Cruikshank, was brought to the hammer.
