The purpose of my autobiography is to give my heart-felt thanks to the Lord for what He has done for me for the past 60 years beginning from 1950 when I became a Christian during the war of Pohang in the boundary of life and death to 2010 when I officially closed the Lord's ministry as pastor of International Bible Church in Los Angeles. The desire of writing this book is totally on my own, for neither did the Lord ever ask me to write this book, nor did He ever need this book to be written. When a person receives God's amazing grace, loving mercy and abiding peace, in him is welling up a spring of water of thanksgiving from his inner heart without ceasing until he shares its amazing grace and loving mercy and abiding peace with others. This is just what I have done in this book. I am giving the Lord my heart-felt thanksgiving for the 20 miracles that have happened to me for the past 60 years without which I wouldn't be here today. Throughout the history of Christianity, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (“LGBT” or“queer”) people have been condemned as unrepentant sinners who are in dire need of God’s saving grace. As a result of this condemnation, LGBT people have been subjected to great spiritual, emotional and physical abuse and violence. This issue takes on a particular urgency in light of the ongoing harassment and bullying of LGBT young people by their classmates. Cheng argues that people need to be liberated from the traditional legal model of thinking about sin and grace as a violation of divine and natural laws in which grace is understood as the strength to refrain from violating such laws. Rather Cheng proposes a Christological model based upon the theologies of Irenaeus, Bonaventure and Barth, in which sin and grace are defined in terms of what God has done for us in Jesus Christ. This book serves as a useful resource for all people who struggle to make sense of the traditional Christian doctrines of sin and grace in the context of the 21st century.

The reason I wanted to write this book is to encourage you to continue to serve the Lord. There have been many things that I had to experience for myself.Many times I was misunderstood, and many things happened that I didn't understand. Through each experience God remained faithful. Although we don't like to admit it, there is a real devil and he comes to steal, kill, and to destroy, but Jesus comes that we might have life more abundantly. (St. John 10:10) The bible tells us in Ephesians 4:27 not to give place to the devil. That means if you sit and listen to his lies and deception that eventually you will begin to yield to those lies. This book has been written to say don't listen to him, not for a moment. It will cost you too much and keep you longer than you want to stay. Pray and keep your eyes on Jesus and he will direct you in the way that you should go. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he will (I promise ya) he will direct your path. Proverbs 3:5,6.After this book gets circulated, I would like to have an outreach to our teenagers today.
