The AAECC Symposia Series was started in 1983 by Alain Poli (Toulouse), who, together with R. Desq, D. Lazard, and P. Camion, organized the ?rst conference. Originally the acronym AAECC meant “Applied Algebra and Error-Correcting Codes”.
