Community food preservation--families getting together in a neighborly way to can, brine, preserve, or store an oversupply for a coming need--is as old as America and as new as all-out defense.

Material in this publication has been brought together to serve the convenience of all those who have occasion to study or refer to monthly weather data in relation to crop yields per acre. It is hoped that the long-time records here alongside the annual data on crop yields per acre by States will stimulate research workers to try their hands at discovering significant characteristics in these weather and crop records, and relationships between them.
