Diasporic Philosophy and Counter-Education addresses the challenges inflicted by the celebrated "new progressivism". It confronts the current omnipotent progressive anti-humanistic fire and its triumphant anti-Western redemptive crusade at all levels and dimensions of life under the post-metaphysical sky. In this book Diasporic counter-education does not surrender to the celebrated temptations of new-age nomadism as an alternative to the postmodern pleasure-machine's promise. It attempts to reach beyond the total war against the Jewish spirit and its manifestation in Western oppressive identity. It refuses any version of the continuum, "radical" or "conservative" self-indulgence, as well as current nihilist-pragmatic quests for self-forgetfulness. Diasporic awakening is a potentially universal and enduring erotic art of a never-to-be-concluded-self-constitution and re-positioning. The aim of this book is for it to become part of a new beginning in the face of the new global culture of mega-speeds, the exile of the humanist killer of God, the deconstruction of pre-conditions for transcendence and the growing probability of bringing to an End of all life on earth. This book seeks to become a waking call for improvisational co-poiesis; a counter-education that will groom us to become more courageous in responding to the invitation of hope, making humankind richer in the realization of our response-ability to Love of Life.

Utopia and Education is an original contribution of the philosophy and theory of education, which also enters the fields of disciplines other than pedagogy and uses their approaches and achievements. The work is part of utopian studies and complements its discourse with a less marked path of philosophy and theory of education. Moreover, in the context of pedagogy and education, it takes up a number of issues whose significance goes beyond the conventional framework of a single discipline: utopia, ideology, social criticism, fundamentalism, democracy, populism, translation, transdisciplinarity and knowledge transfer, socialisation, school as one of the social institutions, etc. The work not only reconstructs knowledge about specific phenomena relevant to education and pedagogy but also proposes an original solution to educational problems in the form of the concept of asylum pedagogy. Throughout the work, the Author attempts to combine the perspectives of critical pedagogy and dialogue, finds inspiration in the achievements of the Warsaw School of the History of Ideas and draws on Jewish thought and tradition.

The book provides an insightful study of the Jewish theologian Martin Buber, and combines a review of the unconventional Zionism he proposed with a sensitivity to myth as the basis of an inclusive civil religion. The multifaceted nature of this work examines Buber’s embrace of myth, and his application of myth to both biblical studies and political theory. One of the challenges that educational systems are facing worldwide is enabling children's voices from silenced, marginalized, and excluded groups to be heard in communities of philosophical inquiry. Children from unprivileged socioeconomic sectors or minorities, and whose narrative is not in accord with that of the dominant mainstream narrative, often feel uncomfortable expressing their feelings, experiences, and mostly their authentic philosophical questions during communities of philosophical inquiry. They prefer not to raise the questions from their identity perspective. Even if they are friendly, such communities of inquiry are governed—even if implicitly—by the hegemonic meta-narrative. This book addresses the challenges of authentic inclusion of these children and their identities/narratives. The book will analyze how discourse about multiple identities and narratives can enrich the theoretical foundations of Philosophy for/with Children as opposed to the sterile banking and normalizing education.
