This volume of Eurasian Studies in Business and Economics focuses on latest results from entrepreneurship and SME research, Human Resources, along with a focus on the Tourism industry. The first part deals with topics ranging from entrepreneurial intentions, social entrepreneurship and technological entrepreneurship to EU policies such as the 7th Framework program. Bridging the themes, the second part on Human Resources and General Management deals with human capital issues, labor force education, employer branding and aligning HR practices to knowledge management outcomes. The third part in particular concentrates on the tourism industry in exploring innovative marketing strategies, WEB 2.0 Challenges, tourism product innovation, and success in international markets.

Entrepreneurship has a tremendous impact on the economic development of a country. As can be expected, many public policies foster the development of self- entrepreneurship in times of unemployment, praise the creation of firms and con- sider the willingness to start new ventures as a sign of good fortune. Are those behaviours inherent to a human being, to his genetic code, his psychology or can students, younger children or even adults be taught to become entrepreneurs? What should be the position of universities, of policy makers and how much does it matter for a country? This book presents several articles, following different research approaches to answer those difficult questions. The researchers explore in particular the psychology of entrepreneurship, the role of academia and the macroeconomic impact of entrepreneurship.

This book brings together works written by academics from all over the world on all aspects of business history: accounting history, management history, economic history, audit history, tax history, financial history, and professional history. Writing, transferring and archiving historical knowledge allows future generations to take lessons from the past and make more informed decisions regardless of whether it is in politics, society, or business. "Historization" can also be seen as the first step of institutionalization for private and governmental companies, institutions, professionals, and states. Institutionally managed historical activities, decisions, and results are accepted as a very important reference about the company for decision-makers and stakeholders. Additionally, "historization" is used in the development and promotion of professions. Historization of professions such as certified public accountants, external auditors, internal auditors, economists, tax experts, certified fraud examiners, and managers nationally and internationally has the potential to educate and motivate new entrants to such roles. As such, this book is a valuable read for business historians, professionals in the field, academics, and students of business.

Evaluation is the foundation of evidence-based policy. Yet there is a dearth of reliable impact evaluation in the area of SME and entrepreneurship policy. This publication issues OECD guidance on how governments can promote reliable SME and entrepreneurship policy evaluation.

The Second International Conference on Entrepreneurship and Small Business was held hybrid in close collaboration with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Lab (GECC) in London (UK). Several distinguished guest speakers and well-known scholars contributed to this event. Following a two-day programme, the conference included a one-day face-to-face event for students and another day dedicated to an online event with three thought-provoking sessions facilitated by Professor Rami Al-Hadeethi, Professor Kursat Demiryurek and Professor Aidin Salamzadeh. Professor Rami Al-Hadeethi and Professor Yashar Salamzadeh also held two plenary sessions. Over 150 individuals from various countries, including the UK, Iran, Japan, Kuwait, Russia, Serbia, and Turkey, contributed to this event. Interestingly, presentations were related to entrepreneurship and business in various business contexts, and many followed interdisciplinary approaches. As the event’s organizers, we would like to thank all those who contributed to the quality of this international conference, including participants, conference chairs, scientific committees, reviewers, technical team members and our partners from the University of Tehran (Iran), Ondokuz Mayis University (Turkey), GECC (UK), European Union Project Hub (Japan), and Eastern Black Sea Project Regional Development Administration (Turkey). Notably, this book is divided into two major parts: (i) abstracts and (ii) selected papers. The scientific committee of the conference nominated the selected papers. These proceedings represent the work of researchers participating in the 6th International Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ICIE 2018) which is being co-hosted by Georgetown University and George Washington University and is being held at The University of the District of Columbia (UDC) on 5-6 March 2018.

These proceedings represent the work of contributors to the 10th European Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ECIE 2015), hosted this year by The University of Genoa, Italy on the 17-18 September 2015. The Conference Chair is Prof Luca Beltrametti and the Programme Co-chairs are Prof Renata Paola Dameri, Prof. Roberto Garelli and Prof. Marina Resta, all from the University of Genoa. ECIE continues to develop and evolve. Now in its 10th year the key aim remains the opportunity for participants to share ideas and meet the people who hold them. The scope of papers will ensure an interesting two days. The subjects covered illustrate the wide range of topics that fall into this important and growing area of research. The opening keynote presentation is given by Marco Doria – Mayor of Genoa on the topic of Innovation and entrepreneurship in Genoa: past, present and future. A second keynote will be given by Flavia Marzano from the National board for innovation and Italian digital agenda on the topic of Innovation: New visions not just new technologies. The second day Keynote will be given by Roberto Santoro, President of the European Society of Concurrent Engineering Network (ESoCE Net) on the topic of People Olympics for healthy and active living: A people driven social innovation platform. In addition to the main themes of the conference there are a number of specialist mini tracks on topics including Innovation and strategy, Entrepreneurship education in action, The theory and practice of collaboration in entrepreneurship and Challenges for entrepreneurship and innovation n the 21st Century. With an initial submission of 275 abstracts, after the double blind, peer review process there are 88 Academic research papers, 6 PhD research papers, 1 Masters Research paper, 4 work-in-progress papers and 1 Non-academic paper published in these Conference Proceedings.
