This book is a comprehensive review of the genera of Meliaceae, a flowering plant family of mostly trees and shrubs, found in tropical East Africa. It presents information on their character, occurrence, habitat, phenotypic variations and distribution of each of the species under these genera.

A descriptive account of the Elatinaceae native and naturalised in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, together with information on exotic ornamental and crop plants. At least one species per genus is illustrated, and the bibliography and synonymy are sufficiently detailed to explain the nomenclature and taxonomic circumscriptions within a broad regional context.

This volume focuses on the family Euphorbiaceae. They are well defined tribe which includes ten other small genera of tropical and sub-tropical regions. Euphorbia are annual, biennial or perennial herbs, shrubs or trees, sometimes succulent and unarmed or spiny, with a milky usually caustic latex.

First published in 1989. This is Part 3 of a reference guide of the Orchidaceae family of plants as noted in the tropics of East Africa. It begins from the genera of Epidenreae, including sketches, family classifications, descriptions and locations.
