The Miracle Man By: James Sprandel “I personally have known James since we were in the ninth grade at Rutherford High School in 1989. At that time James had already had his disability from the Aneurysm, but he was still just like any normal acting boy at that time. Years have gone by with little contact between James and I, then we became Facebook Friends and started our friendship all over again! James moved to Panama City from Mobile Alabama a couple years ago and we have been able to keep in touch and hang out much more often. James is a godly man and follows the word of Jesus Christ, that is one thing I really appreciate about being his friend. Through the years James has become a kind, caring and very giving person and for that I really value his friendship as well.” - Don Cooley The Miracle Man is a collection of stories about the many miracles God has worked in author James Sprandel’s life. His story will touch readers’ hearts and remind us in times of need: Through good times and bad, He’s always there for you.

Get swept up in this classic romance story from New York Times bestselling author Sharon Sala. More than anything, Antonette Hatfield wanted a baby. But she’d long since given up on Mr. Right. He simply didn’t exist. So rather than marry a good man, Toni planned to bear a good man’s child. No strings attached. Then he washed ashore—the nameless answer to her every prayer… US Marshal Lane Monday had survived one close call, only to find himself in another quandary. The most exciting woman he’d ever met—the woman who’d saved his life—was offering him safe haven…in her bed. But pleasure without price wasn’t Lane’s style. He knew all too painfully that the consequence of getting involved would be falling in love. Especially when he discovered Toni’s plan. Originally published in 1995

In the 1880s, a Brooklyn baseball manager plotted to steal pitching signs and alert batters with a hidden electrical wire. In 1951, the Brooklyn Dodgers were robbed of a pennant via a sign-stealing scheme involving a center field office, a telescope and a button connected to the bullpen phone. In 2017, the Los Angeles Dodgers were robbed of a World Series championship via a sign-stealing system involving a TV camera, a monitor, a trash can and a bat. History has often repeated itself around the Dodgers franchise. From their beginnings as the Brooklyn Atlantics to their move from Flatbush to L.A. and into the 21st Century, the Dodgers have seen heartbreaking losses and stirring triumphs, broken the color barrier, turned the game into a true coast-to-coast sport and produced many Hall of Famers, This is their story.

In the intense fighting that marked World War I in Europe, an Armenian-American volunteer dentist quickly became known for his skill in treating the disfiguring facial injuries suffered by large numbers of British soldiers. Working originally under primitive conditions in makeshift hospitals near the battlefields of France, Varaztad H. Kazanjian exhibited a humane concern combined with innovative medical procedures that established his reputation and marked his subsequent career as a founder of the modern practice of plastic surgery. In recognition of his war service, Dr. Kazanjian became known as "the miracle man of the Western Front" and was invested by England's King George V in the most distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George. Other honors followed as Dr. Kazanjian returned to the United States, where he continued his education and went on to a brilliant career as a surgeon, teacher at Harvard, and author of scientific articles. This biography traces the many influences that contributed to the remarkable success of the young man who fled from massacres in Ottoman Armenia to the United States in 1895. From modest beginnings in Worcester, Massachusetts, Kazanjian managed to enter Harvard Dental School. He went on to serve in World War I, earn a medical degree, and make remarkable advances in plastic surgery. He is remembered not only for his medical innovations and accomplishments, but also as a kind and modest person, "the gentle genius of plastic surgery."--Adapted from book jacket.
