School buildings in Maryland, Washington, D.C., New York, Boston, Chicago, South Carolina, and throughout America that have chipping, peeling, and flaking lead-based paint on the interior and exterior are exposing our children and others to lead poisoning. Having renovations performed on these already lead hazardous schools without implementing the proper protective protocols to prevent millions of more microscopic lead dust particles from spreading only compounds the exposure to lead poisoning. Moreover, if these same lead hazardous school buildings, also, have their water supply flowing through leaded pipes, pipes that are connected with lead solder, or have leaded fixtures attached to the fountains, then, our leaders of tomorrow and others are ingesting even more lead poisoning through drinking lead-tainted water. This non-fiction book documents the truth that a Mathematics teacher, who has maintained her certification and accreditation in lead hazard evaluation and control since 1997 as a Repainting and Maintenance Supervisor, an Inspector Technician, a Lead Abatement Service Contractor, and thus, a Recognized Lead Expert by the Maryland Department of the Environment, identified four schools in Baltimore City that had either deteriorating, chipping, and flaking lead-based paint, major renovations that disturbed lead hazardous components and didnt have the proper protective protocols in place, or drinking water that was lead-contaminated. She attempted on numerous occasions to have the health hazards addressed and resolved. However, the powers that be only wanted to silence her and continue concealing the truth that for over a decade the custodians of these public schools, the owners, and others knowingly, willingly, and negligently exposed lives to lead poisoning. Moreover, the detailed, documented true findings from five Finders of Fact that substantiate that the powers that be retaliated against the messenger because she blew the whistle regarding the lead hazardous in these Baltimore City schools.

Lesslie Newbigin was arguably the greatest missionary thinker of the twentieth century. After a successful missionary career in south India, Newbigin pioneered missionary engagement with the secular West and resurgent Islam. He also led the way in arguing that the Church’s mission can only be understood in light of the doctrine of the Trinity. Over fifty years ago, Newbigin called for the further development of missionary thinking grounded in the Triune being of God. This work is in response to that call. Adam Dodds provides the first in-depth study of Newbigin’s trinitarian theology of mission. Dodds constructs a systematic account of the central features of the mission of the Triune God: the Triune being of God, the mission of the Son, the mission of the Holy Spirit, and the mission of the church. This book contributes to our understanding of the work of Lesslie Newbigin, offers a systematic theological account of the mission of the Triune God, and contributes to the retrieval of Christian mission from the theological margins back to a place of central importance to Christian theology.

The theology of the Trinity is undergoing an intense renewal filled with a vitality and vibrancy not seen since the fourth century. What had become, for most believers, dormant and peripheral to the understanding of the Christian faith is once again at the center of lively theological discussions. The Triune God offers a comprehensive overview of the theology of the Trinity from its origin in the Bible, through the significant periods of development in the early church, and up to the present time. Author Thomas Marsh reviews key biblical understandings of God, explains early church developments, highlights controversies about the Trinity considered at church councils, and chronicles the scholastic distinctions of the middle ages. He also explores contemporary efforts to revitalize the theology of the Trinity, and considers the question of inclusive God-language, the ÒrebirthÓ of the Spirit, and the role of the Trinity in the theology of the kingdom and in the place of the church in society. The Triune God is a serious exploration of the Tirnity well suited to college, seminary, and university courses. Anyone interested in an in-depth examination of the Trinity from a scriptural, historical, and pastoral perspective will find this book essential reading.

Central to the Christian life is the practice of prayer. But what, theologically speaking, is going on when we pray? What does prayer have to do with religious belief and action? Does prayer make a difference? Prayer: A Guide for the Perplexed addresses these and other key questions regarding the Christian theology of prayer. Beginning with Evagrius of Ponticus's 'On Prayer', Ashley Cocksworth finds in this early document a profound expression of the 'integrity' of the experience of prayer and theological thought. Seeking throughout to integrate systematic theology and the spirituality of prayer, individual chapters explore the meaning of some of the core doctrines of lived Christian faith – the Trinity, creation, providence, and the Christian life – as they relate to the practice of prayer. Complete with an annotated bibliography of sources on prayer to promote further reading, this volume appeals to academics and general readers alike.
