The volume introduces the central themes in and the main figures of Japanese Buddhist philosophy. The medieval period of Japanese religious history is commonly known as one in which there was a radical transformation of the religious culture. If we want to decolonize the history of art, argues Kristopher Kersey, we must rethink our approach to the historical record.
