This book contains candid reflections and practical applications of the effective Words of God communicated in and through Jesus and his Church. It would be a spiritually-nutritious ‘Foodbank’ for strengthening and enlivening of the people of God. It is a large ‘Gift-package’ of Scriptural reflections for Jesus’ disciples who strive to be genuinely living their faith in daily chores. It would also be ‘a sparkling lamp’ for their feet, and a brightening light for their path of holiness. The specialty of the term ‘daily’ is: Every day is the only day left in hand with us, and it is the only chance entrusted to us. As our ‘yesterday’ gone and our ‘tomorrow’ in God’s hands, everything happening within this day’s 24-hours will never, ever be replicated in tomorrow. It is on such conviction this book is structured. In ‘this day’-reflective light, the author underlines his main reason for writing this book: As I am personally striving to be an extraordinary disciple of Jesus at least ‘one day at a time’, according to my Master’s demands which are spread through the Scriptures, I see many of my fellow-disciples of Jesus too, in this laser and rocket-speedy postmodern Age, fully benefit by ‘living faith this day’ in Jesus’ Way, Spirit and Truth. This book would certainly assist the readers to listen keenly the voice of God in Jesus at everyday ‘Breaking of the Word and Bread’.

‘On this Day’ is a prayerful and meditative work, consisting of daily reflections and prayers on Scriptural passages used in season of Ordinary Time-cycle 1. Its content, as spiritual food, comes out of the enlightening Scriptural words, proclaimed by the Church during everyday Masses. We are pilgrims in this world walking, marching, jogging, or running to reach our ultimate life’s destiny for which God has designed and created us. Every day is so important because, as the Bible points out, today is the only Day God has entrusted to us to prepare for our meeting Him. It is the only Day every human has in hand to please God. It is the only Day every God’s child is given to reciprocate to his Father’s Covenantal Love. It is the author’s earnest desire that ‘On this Day’ may assist his readers in their spiritual and religious exercises through which they gain sufficient heavenly energy to make each day pleasing to the Lord and to magnify His Glory.

The author believes dysfunctional increasingly defines too many seemingly successful twenty-first-century local churches. The God-ordained culture is presented to root out causes of dysfunction. The author uses the Holy Bible to provide a review of the culture that organically generates, expands, and extends to future generations the beliefs and ministries essential for healthy local church function. The reader is directed toward ministries and structures identified within Psalm 19:7–9 and Ephesians 4:11. Emphasis is given to apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, beliefs, intercession, alignment, culture, proactive strategies, and self-assessments. The author pinpoints Bible-truth and scientific knowledge to highlight leadership, communication, and intellectual skills critical to local church functionality. The scientific knowledge includes eleven life-sustaining characteristics of all living things and beings. The author uniquely combines Bible-truth and scientific knowledge to provide practical instruction and recommend behavior assessments supporting the continual improvement of local church functionality, viability, and sustainability.

I promise that I will sometime return to your world. But the times of the reappearing of the Son of Man are known only in the councils of paradise; not even the angels of heaven know when this will occur. However, you should understand, that when this gospel of the kingdom shall have been proclaimed to all the world for the salvation of all peoples, and when the fullness of the age has come to pass, the Father will send you another dispensational bestowal, or else the Son of Man will return to adjudge the age. You should be wise regarding the ripening of an age; you should be alert to discern the signs of the times. When the world has passed through the long winter of material-mindedness and you discern the coming of the spiritual springtime of a new dispensation, should you know that the summertime of a new visitation draws near. And this will be a new beginning out of which the gospel of the kingdom will go to all the world and this salvation will spread to all peoples. You must cease to think about yourself and your own personal problems while you prepare to carry the Good News of the gospel to those who sit in darkness. No longer should you be concerned with what you may obtain from the kingdom but rather be more concerned about what you can give to those who live in spiritual poverty. Liberate spiritual captives, strengthen those who are fainthearted and fear-ridden, proclaim joy to the socially downtrodden, comfort the oppressed, minister to the sick, and confirm believers in this new faith of spiritual liberty and eternal salvation. It is your faith that saves your souls. Salvation is the gift of God to all who believe they are his children.
