BOOK EXCERPT:
This book introduces a new approach that radically redefines Messianic Judaism. It takes the reader beyond the superficial practices of Shabbat candles, tallit, and wearing Stars of David to comprehend the true purpose of a Jewish way of life that embraces Yeshua the Messiah. It investigates the meaning of Israel as a nation from its inception in ancient times and how its national turning to its Messiah will dramatically transform not only Israel itself but our entire world. It delves into the history of Messianic Judaism, ancient and modern, and examines the current streams of Messianic Jewish thought. This book proposes a new paradigm that holds the key to reaching the entire Jewish people with the message of Yeshua. Unlocking scriptural passages that have been lost and misunderstood for nearly two thousand years, it reveals the exciting role that non-Jewish believers in Jesus will play in Israel's redemption. Here is an invitation to come along on an incredible journey of discovery. Readers will gain a new perspective of God’s end-time plan for Israel and the Jewish people. Some will awaken to an inner call to join the quest, a challenge that, if answered, will certainly change the direction of their lives.

BOOK EXCERPT:
A master plan exists for human life so amazing that it goes beyond human imagination. No human mind could give birth to it nor can any human ability bring it into being. The plan is intended for all people who will claim it for themselves. The plan is given to us by our Creator through Mosess tabernacle in approximately 1440 BC in a book called Exodus, and it is about to be fulfilled in the near future. The tabernacle is the blueprint for the plan through an amazing, voluminous number of symbols expressed in measurements, the furniture within it, metals and substances for construction, and colors and areas used within it. The historic people, Israel, were the scale model of the plan, a living clarification of the symbols on the stage of planet earth. In part five, youll find several chapters of totally unique revelations that give us a clearer understanding of some concepts that we have had difficulty in grasping, particularly in the chapter The Cell of Life. Lets put off the conventional, humanly preconceived, limiting blindness of human legalism and tradition and explore the concepts from a greater mind whose vision is unlimited. That vision is expressed in a being who has agape (sacrificial) love. The plan with its promises is available to everyone who really wants ita gift requiring no merit on the part of the receiver, only a hungry heart desiring truth and a willingness to follow its guidance. The purpose of Exodus: The Master Plan is to draw you into this plan so you may have all of its promise.

BOOK EXCERPT:
The 1973 Yom Kippur War did not only have external implications on Israel, but also some dramatic internal implications, particularly with regards to the civil-military relations as well as the fields of psychology and political sociology. To this day, the consequences of this war are still prevalent in Israel, in terms of drafting security policies and the military doctrine. After the war, new identities were formed in the Israeli civil society, which began to function as active agents in shaping security policy. These players are not a unique Israeli case, yet their actions in Israel serve as a case study that illuminates their significant impact in other countries as well. This is due to the fact that the "Israeli Laboratory" is a liberal democratic society living with an ongoing conflict; it has a mandatory army that is sensitive to fluctuations in public opinion, culture and the media; and issues of national security and military conduct are always a top public concern. Consequently, this book examines the rise of five identities and agents that were formed after the 1973 War and highlights the effects they had on the formation of Israeli defense policy from then on. The book also clarifies the importance of exposure to these agents' activities, referring to the psycho-political social factors that may actually dictate a state's international policies. It therefore forms a study that connects sociology, political psychology, international relations, the field of culture studies and studies of strategy planning. Thus, the book is of interest to both the domestic-Israeli field of research and to the global scholarly discourse, particularly to academic disciplines engaged in civil-military relations (political sociology, political science).

BOOK EXCERPT:
All great stories have certain elements that resonate within. These are echoes of the ultimate story, the greatest story ever told―the Gospel, which is our story through faith. The Apostle Paul says: “I am eager to preach the gospel to you… It is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:15-16). Author Michael O'Dowd uses the power of story to lead us through the epic message of good news beginning in Genesis where it all started, continuing all the way to Revelation, where this amazing story ends and all things become new. Packed full of scripture and depth yet made understandable through the author's own experience and explanation, The Gospel: A Redemption and Restoration Story describes doctrinal truth in story form, where God is the hero, and we are being saved. This book will help pastors and congregants alike understand the biblical details of the gospel that saves us―and keeps saving us.

BOOK EXCERPT:
Not just another commentary on Romans, Redemption through the Eyes of the Condemned makes Paul’s letter come alive with a fresh perspective, from a context reminiscent of Paul’s—that of a convicted felon in prison. The combination of a seminary degree, fourteen years in a state penitentiary, and eight years of teaching Romans affords John Montana the ability to see parallels to prison life that can help all readers grasp Paul’s most theologically dense letter. Not only are terms such as condemnation, justification, redemption, law, patience, and hope all too familiar to the prisoner, concepts such as the old and new realm, the already/not yet tension, and corporate identity dominate in the prison experience. Montana’s surprisingly accurate illustrations connect these terms and concepts to prison life and help clarify not only the more difficult passages in Romans but will stir readers to a reinvigorated viewpoint that will help enrich their devotion to the Lord.

BOOK EXCERPT:
This book explores the link between Paul's belief that Jesus is Israel's Messiah, and his interpretation of the Abrahamic Land Promise in Galatians. Countering claims that Paul replaces the Promised Land with the gift of the Spirit or salvation, Esau McCaulley argues that Paul expands this inheritance to include the whole earth; believing that, as the seed of Abraham and David, Jesus is entitled to the entire world as his inheritance and kingdom. McCaulley argues that scholars have neglected Paul's expanded interpretation of the inheritance of the earth, rarely appreciate the role that messianism plays in Galatians, and fail to acknowledge that Second Temple authors often portrayed royal and messianic figures as God's means of fulfilling the promises made to Abraham and Israel, via the establishment of kingdoms. Through a comparison of texts from the Pseudepigrapha, apocrypha, and the Dead Sea Scrolls with Galatians 3:1–4:7, 5:21, McCaulley argues Paul's interpretation of Jesus's death is a manifestation of Second Temple messianism because it ends the covenant curses outlined in Deuteronomy and begins the restoration of the inheritance to Abraham's offspring through the establishment of Jesus's worldwide kingdom; he concludes that Paul's interpretation of the Abrahamic inheritance is inseparable from his belief that Jesus is Israel's Messiah.

BOOK EXCERPT:
Everyday our faith is attacked and often watered down. Those who are zealous for the faith are few in number, or choose to stay silent. Many young people are leaving the faith of their childhood to chase the dream of this world. If we look carefully at the Bible, we find that God gives us hope through an ancient prayer. This prayer unlocks the door to forgiveness and God’s favor in our lives. It all goes back to a dedication of a Temple in Jerusalem. Most often, however, the key ingredient is left out – Facing Jerusalem. Drawing from the authors’ many years of working in Israel, and filled with personal stories, this book paints a beautiful picture of how all believers should care about, and recognize Jerusalem’s key role in the redemption of the world.

BOOK EXCERPT:
"Enclosure marshals bold new and persuasive arguments about the ongoing dispossession of Palestinians. Revealing the Israel-Palestine landscape primarily as one of enclosure, geographer Gary Fields sheds fresh light on Israel's actions. He places those actions in historical context in a broad analysis of power and landscapes across the modern world. Examining the process of land-grabbing in early modern England, colonial North America, and contemporary Palestine, Enclosure shows how patterns of exclusion and privatization have emerged across time and geography. That the same moral, legal, and cartographic arguments were copied by enclosers of land in very different historical environments challenges Israel's current rationale as being uniquely beleaguered. It also helps readers in the United Kingdom and the United States understand the Israel-Palestine conflict in the context of their own, tortured histories"--Provided by publisher.

BOOK EXCERPT:
As the children of God we have a covenant in place with God. A covenant is similar to an agreement, or a binding contract. By the Covenant of Grace, we are redeemed and liberated from our sins and former life of carnality. Yet we also have a part to play, even though we may not always think so. Our part is to love God, to obey Him, to follow His Word, to have no other ‘gods’, to lead holy and pure lives and to fulfil the Great Commission. It is in simplicity also to uphold the Ten Commandments. Jesus gave all His Blood for the Covenant, which ensures our eternal life, provision and protection. How often do we truly stand still and contemplate the Covenant? We often think of Jesus’ death and ascension solely in light of redeeming us from sin, yet His Blood was shed to ratify (sign or give formal consent to a treaty, contract, or agreement, therefore making it officially valid) the Covenant. By our spiritual covenant, we are betrothed unto God, and we will one day celebrate the marriage with the feast in heaven. In this series of works, we look at the importance of the Covenant, and the absolute necessity to honour and uphold it. God is not one to be mocked and trifled with. He is holy, mighty and glorious. As His creation, we need to pay attention to Him, to His order, and to truth. May we worship Him and may we walk in His holiness as Covenant-keeping servants of the Most High.
