I was one who nobody wanted. I’ve gone through many trials and tribulations. I’ve experienced many different changes in my life. Some may have been from making the wrong choices, but some I just could not help but to go through. I’ve had failures, difficulties, and I experienced lots of hurt and pain, but what I did not know and have now come to know is that God wanted me. He has had his hand on me all the time, seeing me through it all, so I can share my life, my story, and my testimony with you.

Have you ever wondered why you are here on Earth? Does your life seem to be flashing by too fast, and you feel as if you are just doing the same thing day after day? I have wondered this, and through some remarkable blessings, I learned some answers. Each of us is on a journey. Through the ups and downs of that journey, we all end up with a story to share. Its a tale of where we have been, where we are now, and where we are going. This book recounts the story I have been living for the past forty-five years. For many of those years, alcohol wrote my story for me. I was held captive by its addictive grip. My heart was closed to the greater purpose I was here to live. A tragedy helped open it, when I lost my niece to leukemia. Through all the trials, I came to know God and His meaning for my life as His child. He has a purpose for all of us. Every day is a gift, and there are so many lessons we can learn from. Its as simple as being humble enough to open our hearts.

This book is a poetic journey comprised of mini chapters resembling a modern day Biblical Psalms. Like Psalms, this is a writers deepest expressions, sincerest conversations with God and the depiction of hope in Him. Despite the mess ups, there is true repentance, and compassion for us as individuals and moreover as a human race. The Holy Spirit has guided me and God has sustained my life so that I can proclaim His works. Although some may see this as controversial I plead with you to be non judgmental for these are my encounters, stories, accounts, events and thoughts that many experience but are afraid of expressing in fear of being seen as odd. Hopefully as you journey with me you will realize that we are more of the same than different, especially when we recognize that it is all about being led by our Creator. When in doubt I dare you to try Him out! Take the challenge and surrender to that which already lies within you, just turn on that light switch, who I call friend, guide, comforter, vindicator and most of all partner. Put your seatbelt on and embrace my limitless journey with the Holy Spirit!

I have had many mentors over the years. You will read about them! My Life, Does It Really Matter is my story. I loved writing it. This book is a testament of how the Lord has helped me and my family throughout our lives, providing for and helping us with the choices we make in our daily lives. Born into a family in difficult circumstances, Bruce Wilberforce finds himself in the streets at a very young age, struggling to eke out a living. Having been taken out of the streets and encouraged by teachers at school, he turned out to be a brilliant student. His first-cycle education earned him a Middle School Leaving Certificate. Against his fathers inclination to get him into carpentry, he secretly joins the Teenagers Group after passing an examination. He finally passed out in a batch of last round of recruits, but below his expectation of being assigned to nonadministrative work, he was assigned to administrative duties in the army. His initial enthusiasm for the Avuh coup, which involved past trainees of the Teenagers Group, turned into opposition to it when those colleagues became targets of attacks from the regime. He then joined the military opposition to Avuh. On one occasion of daring, his conspiratorial group, led by Major Omar Mukhtar, got bombs rained on it. His only way of escape was to rub himself with his own excreta. Having escaped into exile in Kroto, he ended up in Caucasian Republic, where he resumed his education and acquired a masters degree to become a manager.

My Journey with God is the story of my lifelong search for life's meaning. My dad had a drinking problem, and my mother had a problem with me. I am the oldest of five children, and I often felt like the parent in our family. We were not a church-going family, but at the age of thirteen, a friend invited me to go to church with her, and I had a life-changing experience that night. I literally saw Jesus sitting on a throne in a white robe, and more importantly, He saw me! My story is one of love, hope, and second chances! God can take a wounded, broken spirit, and not only restore it, but He can make it even better than it had been. Sometimes we wounded people, feel very alone, and our insecurities tell us that there are some things that we will just have to live with, but I am here to tell you that it does not have to be that way. God wants to give us everything He has, but our problem is that we do not know how to claim it. This story, shared from my heart, will touch you, inspire you, and give you hope!
