If Animals Could Speak Oh The Stories They Would Tell

eBook Download

BOOK EXCERPT:

In her second book of children's short stories, Susan Perry brings you to the lively energetic tales of some of her favorite animal characters: • Twin dolphins separated from their parents during a fierce hurricane -- their journey home is the adventure of a lifetime! From a goofy pelican to a large, angry shark, they find friends, bravely face danger, and never lose hope in finding their parents again. • Ranger Rob, a valiant friend of the animals of the forest. He saves them when a destructive fire threatens their home and gains their trust in return. • Scout, a beautiful Blue Heeler dog. She was taken from her home, but she never loses sight of getting back to the human that she loves more than anything. These are just a few of the stories the animals tell in this fun book of adventures. Throughout the stories, the animals go on adventures, learn valuable lessons, and make great friends -- like Freda and Cathy, two fish who see deeper than outward appearances as they try to find a place where they will be accepted as the special and unique creatures they are. Listen closely to these wonderful lessons in life, as only the animals could tell them!

Tell Me A Story

eBook Download

BOOK EXCERPT:

/head Once upon a time there was a little girl called Alexandra who asked her daddy, “Daddy, please tell me a stoooweee”. Well this is my story on how I created thousands of children stories. These stories come from a world where animals of all kinds all talk and learn, like children, about life. Around the age of three my daughter got tired of me reading little kiddy stories and asked me “Daddy, please tell me a stoooweee”. So every night I would make up a new short story. One day, when she was 7 years old, I decided to tape these stories so she could hear them over and over. Well that went on for 7 more years with over 110 hours and over 3,000 stories. There are so many stories that I will have to write many more volumes. So here we are, the first book is published and now kids all over the world can enjoy them as my daughter did for many years. The time you spend with your child is most rewarding. Never get tired of loving, kissing and hugging them, no matter how old they get. Please view the book website by Clicking here. Preaching From Inside The Story

eBook Download

BOOK EXCERPT:

Preaching from Inside the Story is a book that seeks to carve out an understanding of narrative preaching in an age where there is little agreement about its nature and practice. Capitalizing on the works of Craddock and Lowry, it seeks to find an expanded palette upon which the preacher may engage the larger canvas of narrative preaching. This book will engage the mind by introducing neuroscientific understandings of creativity; build upon the foundations of the philosophy of stories by engaging Aristotle's foundational understanding of narrative; and renew the Lowry Loop by expanding this seminal work and how it should be understood in our current culture. Preaching from Inside the Story breaks new ground by encouraging preachers to move inside stories and tell them from the inside out providing a positive effect, thereby affording non-narrative preachers to connect with storytelling principles. Ultimately, it is filled with examples of how to do narrative in a very practical way. However, in showing these practical examples, the reader is involved in a deep analysis of those narrative sermons and how they fit into an overall narrative understanding of preaching. In the final analysis, it invites the reader to take a fresh journey into narrative preaching.
