Commemorating CBIT’s 43 years of successful Journey in the Field of Technical Education, the Institute has organized the third ‘Research Day’ in the Institute’s Campus on 17 December 2022, by inviting the Research Scholars, Faculty, Students and other scientists from industry and institutions, engaged in research to participate in the proceedings and present their works as abstracts. There has been an overwhelming response not only from CBIT fraternity but also from the research community across India. The meticulously selected Abstracts have been compiled and published as Book of Abstracts showcasing the Research in Progress and the outcomes of the completed Projects. This compilation of Research Abstracts will serve as a source of knowledge and inspiration to the discerning researchers and also enable them to appreciate the challenges in developing the innovate products while showcasing on the present status of the products and their principles of operation undertaken by other Researches, developers and enthusiastic engineers.

The seventh Future Technologies Conference 2022 was organized in a hybrid mode. It received a total of 511 submissions from learned scholars, academicians, engineers, scientists and students across many countries. The papers included the wide arena of studies like Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Vision, Ambient Intelligence and Security and their jaw- breaking application to the real world. After a double-blind peer review process 177 submissions have been selected to be included in these proceedings. One of the prominent contributions of this conference is the confluence of distinguished researchers who not only enthralled us by their priceless studies but also paved way for future area of research. The papers provide amicable solutions to many vexing problems across diverse fields. They also are a window to the future world which is completely governed by technology and its multiple applications. We hope that the readers find this volume interesting and inspiring and render their enthusiastic support towards it.

The Conference was established for the first time in 2023 as part of a programme of activities to sustain research culture environment and dissemination activities at the School of Engineering, Cardiff University, Cardiff United Kingdom. The conference served as a platform to celebrate advancements in various engineering domains researched at our School, and to explore and discuss further advancements in the diverse fields that define contemporary engineering. The structure of the conference programme reflected the multidimensional nature of our research and was built around the priority research areas for the school. 1. Sustainable Energy stands as a testament to our commitment to a greener, more efficient future. We aim to advance energy technology and play a key role in addressing the increasing demand for sustainable and low carbon technologies while reducing environmental impact and ensuring a sustainable environment. Our work helps to drive forward net-zero solutions for achieving the government carbon targets. 2. Advanced Manufacturing represents cutting-edge research into materials, systems and transformative technologies to transform engineering and economic performance in the transport, energy generation and manufacturing industries. Our research in this area focuses on developing smart materials and structures, and sustainable manufacturing processes that help create a sustainable and greener economy. 3. Civil Infrastructure takes centre stage as we improve the sustainability and resilience of infrastructure across the UK and the globe. We work on developing sustainable and resilient total lifecycle solutions across a wide range of domains including construction, structures, energy, geo-environmental and water infrastructure systems. From creating new nano-scale smart materials to macro-scale urban interventions. 4. Compound Semiconductors and Applications represents the cutting edge of electronics, a critical driver of progress in the digital age. We explore the latest developments in compound semiconductor materials, advanced characterisation techniques, quantum optics and novel circuit design methodologies and their diverse applications. We anticipate breakthroughs that will power the next generation of computing, communication, and sensing technologies. 5. Engineering for Health forms a cornerstone of our discussions, recognizing the pivotal role technology plays in revolutionizing healthcare. We are applying the latest research in medical engineering to push the boundaries in areas where innovation has the potential to transform patient care.

The impact of transformational leadership styles, management strategies, and communication for organizational effectiveness and employee performance within organizations cannot be overemphasized. Leadership as a concept has evolved over the years based on situations, practices, and change management approaches in organizations. The evolution of transformational leadership in organizations is imperative to examine in order to motivate and encourage others to collectively support and work to achieve organizational effectiveness or vision and mission. Leadership needs a paradigm shift to influence opportunities and challenges in organizations such as organizational behavior, motivation, communication, and management functions. Transformational Leadership Styles, Management Strategies, and Communication for Global Leaders aims to provide relevant theoretical, conceptual/procedural, and the latest empirical research findings frameworks that critically examine the areas of leadership, leadership styles, management studies, and communication for leaders globally. This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Third International Conference on Design, Operation and Evaluation of Mobile Communications, MOBILE 2022, held as part of the 23rd International Conference, HCI International 2022, which was held virtually in June/July 2022. The total of 1271 papers and 275 posters included in the HCII 2022 proceedings was carefully reviewed and selected from 5487 submissions.
