At the approach of a new millennium, profound economic, social, and geopolitical changes have transformed the global map and shaken the contours of liberation thinking, North and South. Queer), but what of the students and educators who live and teach at the intersection of race and sexuality? By combining autobiographical accounts with qualitative and quantitative research on queer students of different racial backgrounds, these essays not only trouble the ways we think about the intersections of race and sexuality, they also offer theoretical insights and educational strategies to educators committed to bringing about change.

This is not another book about why religion should accept lesbian, gay and bisexual people. Instead it moves off the defensive, and asks why any self-respecting queer would want to have anything to do with spirituality.
