Malalai Joya is the youngest and most famous female MP in Afghanistan, whose bravery and vision have won her an international following. She made world headlines with her very first speech, in which she courageously denounced the presence of warlords in the new Afghan government. She has spoken out for justice ever since, and for the rights of women in the country she loves. Raising My Voice shares her extraordinary story. Born during the Russian invasion and spending her youth in refugee camps, Malalai Joya describes how she first became a political activist. When she returned to Afghanistan, the country was under the grip of the Taliban and she ran a secret school for girls. A popular MP with her constituents, she received global support when she was suspended from parliament in 2007 because of her forthright views. Malalai Joya's work has brought her awards and death threats in equal measure. She lives in constant danger. In this gripping account, she reveals the truth about life in a country embroiled in war - especially for the women - and speaks candidly about the future of Afghanistan, a future that has implications for us all.

BOOK EXCERPT:
The Lord is calling His people to break their silence and proclaim the Gospel to everyone—right now. The Spirit of God is moving in people’s hearts, prompting them to speak out against the sins and atrocities in our world. Speaking out comes with a cost. It can be challenging, unpopular, and downright lonely. You will be misunderstood. But those who speak in God’s voice find peace for being faithful to his call. God has always looked for people who are willing to do what He needs done. He takes those imperfect people and baptizes them with passion to do His will. They cannot escape its clutches. God wants to say something to you and through you. He is looking for a trumpet; the raised voices of His remnant are the sounds of revival. Revival happens when repentance happens. Repentance happens when people speak the heart of God. God has voices ready to speak and bring revival to earth. Are you one of them? If you are looking for a way to unlock the words of God from deep in your soul, this book is for you.

BOOK EXCERPT:
The Kahoot competitions we organize every month to raise awareness among young people about human rights violations worldwide and in Turkey have reached over 10,000 views on YouTube globally. The impact of these competitions on young people and the feedback we receive have been a great source of motivation for us. Among the feedback we receive from young people, there are expressions like "thank you for presenting to us the incidents that happen without discrimination in a language that young people can understand and enjoy, which is Kahoot competitions." These feedbacks have been a great source of satisfaction and guidance for us. We are delighted to observe that young people gain significant motivation in preparing for the future by learning about human rights violations worldwide through these competitions. Additionally, seeing our guests share the lessons they have learned from their own experiences of ongoing human rights violations has also contributed greatly to our followers' awareness. The motivating effect of the prizes we send to the top three winners of the competition is also crucial. Seeing that these prizes motivate the winners and increase interest in our competitions brings us great joy. We realized that the success of our competitions has led us to consider recording all the competition questions and the valuable thoughts of our guests and turning them into a book. In this regard, we have completed our book with a great team effort and we are very happy to make this book available to young people and all volunteers who are sensitive to human rights. We hope that our book will be found in every home and that it will inspire the future golden generation to strive for a better world by learning from the lessons of human rights violations. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us on this journey.

Joseph Conrad (1857-1924) is widely considered one the great modern writers in English literature. This 21-volume set contains titles, originally published between 1976 and 1990 as well as a biography from 1957 written by one of his closest friends. The first 18 books are a set of concordances and indexes to Conrad’s printed works, which were part of a project directed by Todd K. Bender at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA and are among the first attempts to use the power of computers to enhance our reading environment and assist in lexicography, scholarly editing, and literary analysis. The set also contains a meticulously compiled bibliography of writings on Joseph Conrad, as well as an original and powerful analysis of his major work.
