Therefore, there is a sense of urgency to understand and practice better and more conscious efforts to recycle anything and everything. Simply put, recycling is the process of collecting, separating and reusing as much as possible of the originally manufactured product whenever possible. It can also constitute the evolution of products that can come from the reuse or recycled material. Recycling is one of the hottest topics explored today. Almost everyone is into this new “fad” and this is of course a very positive behavioral pattern if correctly nurtured. And besides it can make you money. Learn how here. Let Us Know What You Think!

BOOK EXCERPT:
In 2018 the world watched as 82 per cent of all wealth created was claimed by the top 1 per cent of the global population. The bottom 50 per cent of humanity saw no increase at all. While one new billionaire was created every two days, one in every four South Africans were living on less than R18 per day – not enough to buy a loaf of bread. Inequality has always been part of the world we live in, but in the past twenty years the situation has worsened. We have seen the rise of mega corporations, where regional companies have become global players: power brokers that are richer and more powerful than most countries. This has seen businesses record ever-increasing profits while they pay ever-decreasing taxes. How is this happening? In South Africa, millions of people depend on the services and products of mega corporations, but to what extent do these corporations influence and affect the lives of their consumers? What do these companies do with all the power that is in their hands? In The Dirty Secrets of the Rich and Powerful, James-Brent Styan casts the spotlight on economic inequality and unpacks historical and ongoing business practices that have a real influence on people today. This book takes you right into the corridors of power and behind the closed doors of the boardrooms of the rich and powerful to show you how, and why, the status quo seems so unfair.

BOOK EXCERPT:
This book is about poverty and why these two (2) kinds of people are not alike. One of them has more resources, while the other has a limited supply or shortages. I will state why these people most likely have a positive mindset unlike the opposite one; some are struggling financially and others have more freedom. This literature is based on my experiences and observation of their attitude and behavior every time I encounter each one of them. Some people believe that being rich require fancy cars, mansions, popularity, airplane, and a lot of money. Thus, being rich only demands a good mindset. If your perception is set only for material things, there are times you will lose it. However, when you have a mindset, same as those rich individual; you’re not afraid to lose everything. Since, you knew that you can have it back. Being rich is having a heart, mind and soul. It’s based on emotion, contribution, and leadership. Even if you have all the money in the world, yet lack proper thinking; you will never call yourself rich. As rich people didn’t teach their children the value of money, rather create it with their hands.

BOOK EXCERPT:
When most people think of hazardous waste trading, they think of egregious dumping by U.S. and European firms on poor countries in Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean. But over 80 percent of the waste trade takes place between industrialized nations and is legal by domestic and international standards. In Waste Trading among Rich Nations, Kate O'Neill asks why some industrialized nations voluntarily import such wastes in the absence of pressing economic need. She focuses on Britain as an importer and Germany as an exporter and also looks at France, Australia, and Japan. According to O'Neill, most important in determining whether an industrialized democracy imports waste are two aspects of its regulatory system. The first is the structure of the regulatory process—how powers and responsibilities are allocated among different agencies and levels of government—and the structure of the hazardous waste disposal industry. The second is what O'Neill calls the "style" of environmental regulation, in particular access to the policy process and mode of implementation. Hazardous waste management is in crisis in most industrialized countries and is becoming increasingly controversial in international negotiations. O'Neill not only examines waste trading empirically but also develops a theoretical model of comparative regulation that can be used to establish links between domestic and international environmental politics.

BOOK EXCERPT:
People are becoming more aware of the environment and their impact on it. Over the past decades we have become an increasingly consumerist based society. From a world in which recycling was common, single use became the norm. This throwaway society is unsustainable. Sustainable gardening results in the creation of an environmentally friendly area in which natural predators thrive and soils are naturally replenished. Discover innovative and simple ways of recycling everything from water to materials in the garden. Practical examples show recycling in action turning unwanted items into useful features such as bottle edging, footpaths made from tyres, garden forks into table lamps, broken pottery to mosaics and tree roots into lush garden stumperies. Recycling, reusing and upcycling in the garden can make a difference helping you save money by using less water, making your own compost, choosing energy efficient equipment and by giving everyday items a totally new function. Instead of a throwaway society, we are increasingly looking at ways of reducing our use of increasingly scarce resources, turning plastic into paths, using solar energy and conserving water. Natural recycling of plant material and sustainable gardening is increasingly popular. This book helps search for creative ideas that can conserve resources, and save you money. Water is no longer cheap, so the book suggests many ways that you can re-use water and get free rainwater. The book helps you with places you may not think of looking for free and cheap material, such as reclamation yards, factories, restaurants and hospitals. Let your imagination run free without needing much skill and without breaking the bank.
