Revealing Evidences Of The Spiritual Realm S Existence

eBook Download

BOOK EXCERPT:

This is the first book ever written about Demon Possession , providing undeniable evidence to answer the following questions: 1. Do ghosts really exist in this world? 2. Is there scientific evidence to prove the existence of the spiritual realm? 3. How can one conduct an effective Do-It-Yourself (DIY) test to determine if they are demon possessed? 4. What are 28 spiritual realm related questions and answers? Science is about collecting evidence while religion is more focused on faith and the mind. Is there any common ground between the two? The author tries to use scientific means to collect evidence for research and analyze the most commonly used channeling means of spiritual writing (sift holding) by the general public. The conclusion is that behind all facades of channeling, it is all related to the defiling spirits mentioned in the Holy Bible.

Why Does God Seem So Hidden

eBook Download

BOOK EXCERPT:

Why does God seem so hidden, obscure, and silent? Why doesn't he make himself known in a more explicit way to those who dispute his existence? This line of questioning presents a perplexing conundrum for Christian theologians. On the one hand, Christians affirm that God's revelation of himself is sufficient, but, on the other hand, it appears that some genuine seekers remain unconvinced of his existence. In recent decades, philosopher J. L. Schellenberg has proposed an argument for atheism that attempts to exploit this apparent contradiction. This book offers a new take by approaching the conversation using a Trinitarian theological lens. The character of Trinitarian love shapes the way God communicates in pursuit of relationships. Namely, God desires spiritually oriented, communal divine-human relationships, and this endeavor necessarily entails hiddenness. This work proposes five spiritual criteria that an individual must meet to be open to having a relationship with the triune God, and these are the criteria that atheists have failed to consider. Articulating these five is exactly what is needed to resolve the vexing theological puzzle of divine hiddenness.

Mysticism Madness Myth And Mania

eBook Download

BOOK EXCERPT:

What happens when a person has a Clear, Vivid, ecstatic, transcendent religious or spiritual experience where they sense that they are being 'caught up' to God, or Spirit? Do they really encounter an unseen, intangible 'spiritual realm' that is Ultimate Reality and the Ground of existence? Why do some people who are diagnosed as 'mentally ill' claim to have such experiences? If a person persists in these kinds of beliefs, are they deluded, or even mad? Are they actually suffering from 'religious mania'? Are atheists correct in dismissing these experiences as merely 'psychological'? Or is it the atheists who are blind and deaf when it comes to Ultimate Reality? Drawing from personal experience and from over forty years of practical and theoretical engagement with spirituality and religion, as well as from approaches within psychology, author Robert Laynton explores these questions, not as a defense of religion or spirituality but as an exploration of experience on the edge of reason.

John Wesley S Conception And Use Of Scripture

eBook Download

BOOK EXCERPT:

Despite wide acceptance of the "Wesleyan quadrilateral", significant disagreements have arisen in both academic and church circles about the degree to which Scripture stood in a place of theological primacy for Wesley, or should do so for modern Methodists, and about the proper and appropriate methods of interpreting Scripture. In this important work, Scott J. Jones offers a full-scale investigation of John Wesley's conception and use of Scripture. The results of this careful and thorough investigation are sometimes surprising. Jones argues that for Wesley, religious authority is constituted not by a "quadrilateral", but by a fivefold but unitary locus comprising Scripture, reason, Christian antiquity, the Church of England, and experience. He shows that in actual practice Wesley's reliance on the entire Christian tradition - in particular of the early church and of the Church of England - is far heavier than his stated conception of Scripture would seem to allow, and that Wesley stresses the interdependence of the five dimensions of religious authority for Christian faith and practice.
