Salvation Reaches To The End Of The Earth

BOOK EXCERPT:

This book serves as a documentation of what a recipient of the mercy and grace of Elohim has found convincing from His written Word. God is love. I have the utmost respect for the gift of free choice from the loving Father God. This is the third of five-volume series on "The Messianic Credentials". It is not about what the right choice should be. It would be ludicrously futile to debate over such a thing as it is a matter of perception. In the process of putting this series together, I realized that God (Elohim) did not write what we like to hear. He wrote what we need to hear. This is because love corrects (Proverbs 3:12 and Hebrews 12:6). And God is love (1 John 4:8 and 1 John 4:16). He wrote the Bible out of His Spirit of love. In view of the above, I have written this series to relay that same Spirit. It is an appeal to consider reunion with God the loving Father from the perspective of the salvation wrought through Christ crucified. The love of God will bring about a change in perspective. In the words of Romans 2:4, it is the kindness of God that leads to repentance. As a caveat, this series is to be read with an open mind. It is meant to present the state of things from a Biblical perspective with no malicious and derogative intent. Any perception to the contrary is highly unfortunate and/or regrettable. Volume 3 – Salvation Reaches the End of the Earth Jesus of Nazareth was born to die the death of the Cross. Even before birth, He was despised and hated but yet held in awe. You will find the scriptural basis when you explore the trailhead of Isaiah 49:7 in the third volume of this series. When the appointed time for the fulfilment of the redemption plan arrived, the beloved Son of God as Jesus of Nazareth allowed Himself to be crucified as the perfect sacrificial Lamb. He was not murdered and neither was He suicidal. Read all about it in Volume 3. It speaks volumes about Him.

Jesus Salvation Journey

BOOK EXCERPT:

The Son of God came in human form as Jesus the Nazarene to accomplish a mission that was impossible by man’s standards. However, what is impossible with man is possible with God – Luke 18:27. When it seemed all was lost and fallen mankind was doomed for perpetual self-destruction and eternal damnation, the HERO appeared albeit not in any pomp or grandeur. Quite the contrary, He was anything but a hero according to worldly standards. In His very short stint on earth, He did so many things that even all the volumes in the world would not be able to contain them if they were written down – John 21:25. Yet His heroic deeds ran against the very grain of the fads then. He ended up dying a horrific and shameful death of the Cross. But the story did not end there. By the awesome power of His resurrection from the dead, He demolished every diabolical forces that were at work against the human race. He slapped the fiendish devil from ear to ear, thoroughly disarmed and rendered him completely powerless. The salvation plan of God was completed and the mission of saving the world, accomplished. This book captures the broad overview of the milestones of Jesus’ mission on earth as recorded in Mark 5:21-43. The typologies within that account shed light on the awesome wisdom of God. So brace yourself for an exhilarating journey as you flip through the pages of the book. Be blessed!

"Precisely Literal, Richly Revealing" Pairing the most literal English translation available with an illuminating in-text exposition of each verse in the Bible, this outstanding resource will helps strengthen your grasp on God's Word. By comparing the precise NASB with the magnified sentence structure of the Amplified Bible, readers are better able to appreciate the meaning of the scriptures as understood by their audience in the original languages. Known for its word-for-word literal accuracy, the New American Standard Bible, updated edition, is the #1 choice for in-depth inductive Bible study. And through its unique use of synonyms and definitions, the Amplified Bible both explains and expands the meaning of words in the text by placing amplification in parentheses and brackets after key words or phrases. Through multiple expressions, greater emphasis is given to the divine message as reflected in the original Greek and Hebrew. Now readers can benefit from both translation approaches with this side-by-side comparison that offers a more enriching experience with God's Word. NASB 12--For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. 13--But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love. AMPLIFED BIBLE 12--For now we are looking in a mirror that gives only a dim (blurred) reflection of realitys in a riddle or enigma], but then when perfection comes] we shall see in reality and face to face Now I know in part (imperfectly), but then I shall know and understand fully and clearly, even in the same manner as I have been fully and clearly known and understood by God]. 13--And so faith, hope, love abide faith--conviction and belief respecting man's relation to God and divine things; hope--joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation; love--true affection for God and man, growing out of God's love for and in us], these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Salvation For All

eBook Download

BOOK EXCERPT:

This book examines in depth and at length what the Old Testament and the New Testament hold about the salvation of God's 'other peoples'. The Bible repeatedly witnesses to the universal scope of the divine love for all human beings and the chances of salvation that are available to them. Since the Israelites experienced for many centuries, both at home and abroad, the religion and culture of numerous other peoples, the Old Testament texts have much to say, both positively and negatively, about the religious prospects and destiny of these peoples. In its second half this book scrutinizes what Jesus, the evangelists, Paul and the Letter to the Hebrews indicate about God's loving designs for all human beings. At the end, the book breaks new ground by developing the universal presence of the risen Jesus (along with the Holy Spirit) and his role as universal Wisdom, and the full teaching of the Letter to the Hebrews on the possibility of faith for all people.

BOOK EXCERPT:

From the author: This collection was gathered out of my personal need to communicate with the Lord. By creating banners and writing corresponding mediations, I reaffirm my beliefs and I am strengthened. Two themes sound out loud and clear to me from praying to Our Father as I have created this book; simply, GOD IS DEFINITELY LOVE and HE DOES HAVE A UNIQUE PURPOSE FOR EACH ONE OF US. It is my hope that you know Him personally. I wish for you a growing faith! By mediating on a banner design, we can focus on listening to Our Father. Ordinary Christian symbolism is used to draw the spectator into communion with God. He has so much to say to each one of us. Christian banners are but one of the many, many ways He tries to get our attention. My creative gifts help lead me along my journey in life. For me, art and faith go hand-in-hand. Everything beautiful and of lasting value comes from God. My husband and I reside in Ruston, Louisiana, where we are members of The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer.

Letter Spirit Vol 7

eBook Download

BOOK EXCERPT:

This is the seventh annual volume of the remarkably popular journal of biblical theology edited by Scott Hahn and his St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology. This volume responds to the call of Pope Benedict XVI in his Apostolic Exhortation Verbum Domini for a thoughtful return to the Fathers of the Church and how they approached Sacred Scripture. This is not in any way to jettison historical-critical methods and the valuable insights that modern biblical scholarship has brought to light. It is simply to acknowledge what Pope Benedict calls for, a measured return to the interpretive methods employed by the Church Fathers as well as the theology that flowed from their exegetical labors. As he said, "The Church Fathers present a theology that still has great value today because at its heart is the study of sacred Scripture as a whole. Indeed, the Fathers are primarily and essentially commentators on sacred Scripture." Highlights include original articles by Fr. William Kurtz, SJ, Matthew Levering, Father Stephen Ryan, OP, Stephen Hildebrand, Owen Phelan, and Michael Barber, as well as an original translation of Joseph Ratzinger's (Pope Benedict XVI) foundational essay "Vicarious Representation" by Father Jared Wicks, SJ.

Salvation In Henri De Lubac

eBook Download

BOOK EXCERPT:

This study provides a compelling account of the major works of Henri de Lubac, one of the most influential theologians of the twentieth century, and argues that soteriology provides a lens through which their inner unity can be discerned. The writings of Henri de Lubac have left an indelible mark on Catholic theology, preparing the ground for, giving shape to, and explaining the seminal event of twentieth-century Catholicism: the Second Vatican Council. Like the Council itself, though, de Lubac remains a contested figure, difficult to classify. Salvation in Henri de Lubac presents an overview of de Lubac’s major works in light of his own statements that a mystical vision animated them all. De Lubac’s mystical theology hinges upon a vision of salvation, understood as humanity’s incorporation into the triune God through the cross and resurrection of the incarnate Christ. From his writings on the supernatural and theological epistemology, to his treatments of the spiritual interpretation of Scripture, ecclesiology, sacramental theology, and the theology of history, the mystery of the cross looms large, gathering these disparate topics into one focal center while also allowing their distinct contours to remain. By attending to de Lubac’s work in this light, Eugene R. Schlesinger brings important themes from French language scholarship into the English-speaking conversation and clarifies the nature of de Lubac’s ressourcement. It is not a method, nor a sensibility, but the outgrowth of a conviction: in the mystery of Christ a definitive and unsurpassable gift has been given, one that constitutes the meaning of the world and its history, one whose riches can never be exhausted. Schlesinger claims that unless we understand de Lubac and his work in light of his own motivations and emphases, we risk distorting his contribution, reducing him to a proxy in the struggle for post-conciliar Catholic self-definition.
