Will Shipley (1804/1805-1880) and his family lived in Carroll County, Georgia. Descendants lived in Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas and elsewhere.

Adam Shipley or Shipleigh, was born in England. He settled in Maryland in 1668. He married Lois in about 1676. They had six children. He died before 1698. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Maryland, Missouri, Arkansas and Texas.
