This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of the 17th International Conference on Transport Systems Telematics, TST 2017, held in Katowice-Ustrón, Poland, in April 2017. The 40 full papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 128 submissions. They present and organize the knowledge from within the field of intelligent transportation systems, the specific solutions applied in it and their influence on improving efficiency of transport systems.

The book is dedicated as an auxiliary literature for academic staff of universities, research institutes, as well as for students of transport teaching. The aim of the conference was to present the achievements of national and foreign research and scientific centers dealing with the issues of rail, road, air and sea transport in technical and technological aspects, as well as organization and integration of the environment conducting research and education in the discipline of civil engineering and transport. International Scientific Conference Transport of the 21st Century was held in Ryn, Poland, in the 9th–12th of June 2019. Theory and Practice”, organised by the Department of Transport Systems and Traffic Engineering at the Faculty of Transport of the Silesian University of Technology. Methods of advanced data collecting and their analysis, models which help with decision problems as well as technical solutions which improve the integrity of contemporary transport systems at urban area are only some of many problems connected with integration in passenger and freight transport which have been discussed in this book.
