The Social Determinants of Health (SDH) are defined by the World Health Organization as “the conditions in which people are born, grow, work, live, and age, and the wider set of forces and systems shaping the conditions of daily life”. Social determinants, as well as psychosocial factors, are elements that have a significant influence on people's health and well-being. These factors include psychological, social and also cultural aspects, which can affect a person's behavior and health.
