BOOK EXCERPT:

What image do you conjure up when you think of ‘awakening’? Who comes to your mind when you think of ‘enlightenment’?Tantra opens up our minds to the possibility of intellectual existence beyond the God level (Ancient Indian mythology is full of humans cavorting with Gods). And Kundalini Tantra does more: it opens up levels of consciousness several degrees beyond God. It gives us techniques to exercise our imagination and leads us to heaven within ourselves. The quest for higher consciousness is manifested through the physical body (bigger, better and beautiful) or the subtle body (smarter, kinder and spiritual). Tantra Yoga highlights practices to achieve this bliss. Awakening is possible and enlightenment is available to all who seek it.

BOOK EXCERPT:

In this accessible guide, Shashi Solluna breaks all preconceptions about Tantra and introduces us to the real philosophy behind this sacred practice. In traditional descriptions, Tantra is often defined as meaning "to weave", and can be compared to the weaving of a fabric. Tantra is therefore a path that weaves together. Ultimately, Tantra points us to the highest level of consciousness in which one merges into Oneness and no longer feels like a separate physical entity. This is sometimes called "Heaven" as opposed to the more tangible experience of "Earth". This book explains how Tantra can allow us to move from a physical solid experience of reality into the lighter more ethereal experience – or from Earth to Heaven – and then ultimately bring Heaven to Earth! This books explores: • The history of Tantra • The core principles of Tantra • An understanding of the tantric approach to sexuality • Practices to explore your own Tantric sexuality • A tantric understanding of relationship, love and intimacy • An understanding of Tantra as a spiritual path • Practices for creating spiritual experiences and higher states of consciousness …and much more!

BOOK EXCERPT:

In the vast tapestry of spiritual traditions, Tantra stands out as a profound and transformative path that weaves together the threads of body, mind, and spirit. Often misunderstood and misrepresented, Tantra is not merely a practice of physical intimacy but a comprehensive system of spiritual development that embraces all aspects of life. Tantra: The Ultimate Knowledge delves into the depths of this ancient wisdom, exploring its origins, philosophies, and practices. This book aims to demystify Tantra, presenting it as a holistic approach to achieving self-realization and liberation. Through the integration of various techniques such as mantras, mudras, visualization, and breathwork, Tantra offers a unique path to expand consciousness and connect with the divine. Central to the practice of Tantra is the understanding and manipulation of energy within the body. This energy, often referred to as prana or life force, flows through a network of channels known as nadis. The convergence points of these nadis are the chakras, or energy centers, which play a crucial role in maintaining physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. In this journey, you will discover how Tantra celebrates the unity of the physical and spiritual realms, teaching that every experience, every sensation, is a gateway to the divine. By working with the chakras, practitioners can awaken and harmonize their inner energy, leading to profound states of awareness and bliss. Techniques such as kundalini awakening focus on activating the dormant energy at the base of the spine, allowing it to rise through the chakras and bring about transformative experiences. Join us as we unravel the mysteries of Tantra, exploring its rich history, its profound teachings, and its practical applications in daily life. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or a curious seeker, this book will provide you with the insights and tools needed to embark on your own Tantric journey towards enlightenment. *All chapters in this book were originally part of our earlier work; 'Kundalini Science' series' 'Spiritual Psychology' books. Tantra In Practice

eBook Download

BOOK EXCERPT:

As David White explains in the Introduction to Tantra in Practice, Tantra is an Asian body of beliefs and practices that seeks to channel the divine energy that grounds the universe, in creative and liberating ways. The subsequent chapters reflect the wide geographical and temporal scope of Tantra by examining thirty-six texts from China, India, Japan, Nepal, and Tibet, ranging from the seventh century to the present day, and representing the full range of Tantric experience--Buddhist, Hindu, Jain, and even Islamic. Each text has been chosen and translated, often for the first time, by an international expert in the field who also provides detailed background material. Students of Asian religions and general readers alike will find the book rich and informative. The book includes plays, transcribed interviews, poetry, parodies, inscriptions, instructional texts, scriptures, philosophical conjectures, dreams, and astronomical speculations, each text illustrating one of the diverse traditions and practices of Tantra. Thus, the nineteenth-century Indian Buddhist Garland of Gems, a series of songs, warns against the illusion of appearance by referring to bees, yogurt, and the fire of Malaya Mountain; while fourteenth-century Chinese Buddhist manuscripts detail how to prosper through the Seven Stars of the Northern Dipper by burning incense, making offerings to scriptures, and chanting incantations. In a transcribed conversation, a modern Hindu priest in Bengal candidly explains how he serves the black Goddess Kali and feeds temple skulls lentils, wine, or rice; a seventeenth-century Nepalese Hindu praise-poem hammered into the golden doors to the temple of the Goddess Taleju lists a king's faults and begs her forgiveness and grace. An introduction accompanies each text, identifying its period and genre, discussing the history and influence of the work, and identifying points of particular interest or difficulty. The first book to bring together texts from the entire range of Tantric phenomena, Tantra in Practice continues the Princeton Readings in Religions series. The breadth of work included, geographic areas spanned, and expert scholarship highlighting each piece serve to expand our understanding of what it means to practice Tantra.

A New Age Kundalini Tantra

eBook Download

BOOK EXCERPT:

Only two types of people exist in the entire cosmos. There is no difference between the two types of men, except in mental outlook. One type of man is gross, conditioned, ignorant of the self, attached to the world and full of dual vision. On the other hand, the other type of people are subtle, free, self-aware, unattached to the world and endowed with non-dual vision. There are innumerable literature to describe the first type of man, but the description of the second type of man is found mainly in the philosophy of physiology or Sharirvigyan darshan i.e. Shavid. The gross man also tries to adopt the same approach as the subtle man, for which he takes the help of various religions and spiritual practices. However a man tries to become like them simply by observing and imitating them through Sharirvigyan darshan. In this book we will discuss the story of one such obese man. Related to this, we will discuss the life story of the subtle man in the second book related to Sharirvigyan Darshan or Shavid.

The Complete Nyingma Tradition From Sutra To Tantra Book 13

eBook Download

BOOK EXCERPT:

Chöying Tobden Dorje's magnum opus presented in English for the first time, in an authoritative translation prepared under the auspices of well-known and highly respected Tibetan teachers and translators. In 1838, Choying Tobden Dorje, a yogin and scholar of northeastern Tibet, completed a multivolume masterwork that traces the entire path of the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism from beginning to end. Written by a mantra practitioner for the benefit of mantra practitioners living among the lay community, it was intended to be informative, inspirational, and above all, practical. Its twenty-five books, or topical divisions, offer a comprehensive and detailed view of the Buddhist path according to the early translation school of Tibetan Buddhism, spanning the vast range of Buddhist teachings from the initial steps to the highest esoteric teachings of great perfection. Choying Tobden Dorje’s magnum opus appears in English here for the first time. Book 13 presents the philosophical systems of India and Tibet, according to the writings of Longchen Rabjam and the revelations of Orgyan Lingpa. First, it discusses the views attributed to classical Hinduism, Jainism, materialism, and nihilism. Second, it describes the standpoints of the Vaibhashika and Sautrantika exponents of the lesser vehicle, exemplified by pious attendants and hermit buddhas, and the Cittamatra (“mind only”) and Madhyamaka (“middle way”) commentators of the great vehicle, exemplified by great bodhisattva beings. Third, it analyzes the inner and outer vehicles of the Buddhist tantras, with an emphasis on the three classes of the great perfection. Fourth, it documents the lines of philosophical transmission within Tibet, including Bon, Nyingma, Kagyu, Sakya, Kadampa, and Geluk. It concludes with an extract from a well-known treatise of the Fifth Dalai Lama, applying the techniques of consequential reasoning to the first chapter of Vasubandhu’s Treasury of Phenomenology.
