This text focuses upon professional discourse that revolves around induction efforts resulting from educators working together to inform one another’s practice. Further, such mentality transcends boundaries to reach all levels of education and across contexts with cutting edge research and applications that promote the classroom teacher as associated teacher educator in the process. Therefore, this text is meant as a reflection of the current state of the profession and future research and development prospects pertaining to the concept of classroom teachers as associated teacher educators who through teacher to teacher mentality inform purposeful practice. This text serves also as a tool for promoting professional discourse concerning the classroom teachers as associated teacher educators in this regard. This is such an important discussion to be had, and yet only recently has the teacher education profession more fully realized, acknowledged and emphasized the integral impact of teacher to teacher mentality of classroom teachers as associated teacher educators engaged in purposeful practice. Such dynamic interchanges of teacher to teacher mentality extend to teacher candidates, novice classroom teachers, and teacher educators.

BOOK EXCERPT:
The teacher must know exactly what role he has to play in the society. It must be understood by him, that he is no more expected to be simply an agent and the conservator of the traditions and culture of the society. The newly emerging expectations and aspirations of the Indian society enjoin upon the teacher that he make use of his powers, experiences, skills and discretions in such a manner, that a right sort of socialization within and outside the school situation is fostered by him. Therefore, teaching should be helpful to the child to adjust himself to his environment. The school can help the child to make successful adjustments, by developing healthy attitudes and right knowledge, to meet the environment with its growing complexities through teaching. Teaching can enable the child to equip himself with such habits, skills, attitudes and knowledge which he needs for a successful living in a complex environment.

BOOK EXCERPT:
Employing a mixed-method approach, the book investigates the psychology of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teachers in the online teaching environment in China during the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, questionnaires were conducted on Chinese EFL teachers to explore the profiles of EFL teachers’ anxiety, self-efficacy, buoyancy and engagement. Additionally, semi-structured interviews were used to demystify their psychological growth in the dynamic interaction with ecological environments, thus constructing an ecological model of EFL teacher psychology in online teaching. The book provides new insights into EFL teacher psychology and theoretical references for building a functional ecosystem for the professional development of EFL teachers. The book will be of interest to researchers in teacher psychology, language teachers and practitioners, especially those working in the complex technology-based educational environment, and policy makers in foreign language education.
