Mark and Jack are no longer human. They are The Bitten-a species somewhere between Vampire and man. Raised by a Pure Blood vampire after they had been infected as children, they grew up in a world of luxury, wealth and power. Until Mark changed. Wanted to be human again. Now, he and Jack have fled from their family and others of the same kind to try and reintegrate into normal human society. But soon they discover another survivor of a vampire attack, another that has been infected, cursed-like themselves.
