BOOK EXCERPT:
The Broken & Forgotten Woman is written to revamp any woman’s lost hope and identity. Today, many women are victims of injustice, condemnation, abuse and mockery. I remember in 2007, God said to me that in every society, there is a woman broken, hurt, humiliated, despised, rejected, frustrated, hopeless, condemned and molested. Those words sunk into my spirit like fire such that today I have a burden to make a difference in someone’s life. Without doubt, this book is here to help you navigate your way to faith and victory. It contains outstanding insights, wisdom and divine encounters that will reverse any ugly situation in your life. God has a plan for every woman alive today. People may tease and make a mockery of you, yet that doesn’t change God’s plan for your life. As people are mocking you, God is making you to be a living wonder—enviable to your generation! The LORD told me that there are women in this dispensation of time who have lost marriages, joy, and hope; they are now depressed and living in regret. Don’t worry, God has a special plan for your life—it is time to wipe away your tears. God has heard your prayers and is sending help to rescue you from every predicament and disappointment you have ever suffered in life. Get this book! Your life will experience inner transformation as a woman created in the very image of God. God bless you!!

BOOK EXCERPT:
The Forgotten Girls The body of an unidentified woman has been discovered in a remote forest. A large, unique scar on one side of her face should make the identification easy, but nobody has reported her missing. Louise Rick, the new commander of the Missing Persons Department, waits four long days before pulling off a risky move: releasing a photo of the victim to the media, jeopardizing the integrity of the investigation in hopes of finding anyone who knew her. The gamble pays off when a woman recognizes the victim as Lisemette, a child she cared for in the state mental institution many years ago. Lisemette was a "forgotten girl", abandoned by her family and left behind in the institution. But Louise soon discovers something even more disturbing: Lisemette had a twin, and both girls were issued death certificates more than thirty years ago. Louise's investigation takes a surprising when it brings her closer to her childhood home. And as she uncovers more crimes that were committed--and hidden--in the forest, she is forced to confront a terrible link to her own past that has been carefully concealed. Set against a moody and atmospheric landscape, The Forgotten Girls is twisty, suspenseful, emotionally intense novel that secures Sara Blaedel's place in the pantheon of great thriller writers.

BOOK EXCERPT:
They are the victims no one has ever cared about, until now. Agents Stevens and Windermere return in the blistering new crime novel from the fast-rising, multi-award-nominated suspense star. She was a forgotten girl, a runaway found murdered on the High Line train through the northern Rocky Mountains and, with little local interest, put into a dead file. But she was not alone. When Kirk Stevens and Carla Windermere of the joint FBI-BCA violent crime force stumble upon the case, they discover a horror far greater than anyone expected—a string of murders on the High Line, all of them young women drifters whom no one would notice. But someone has noticed now. Through the bleak midwinter and a frontier land of forbidding geography, Stevens and Windermere follow a frustratingly light trail of clues—and where it ends, even they will be shocked.

BOOK EXCERPT:
Back Page Without my past, I would never be who I am today. God has taken all the pain and turned it around for my good and heaven's gain. Once you walk through the door of healing, it's your responsibility to embrace your healing. We can get deliverance and still not be free. We can be delivered from abuse, but never truly free because we are still looking through eyes and mindset of the abused victim. Once healed, don't look back at what you were or what happened to you. You are a new person in Christ. Move pass your past. Just like an animal who was raised in a cage and never let out, let someone open the door. It will never go out because it doesn't realize it's free. We can get delivered and never walk through the open door or shake off the chains that have us bound. What the devil meant for your harm, God can turn it around for your good and his glory, only if you are willing to allow him into your brokenness. Until you let your past die, it will not let your future live. You have to forgive even yourself. Great people of faith, they follow Jesus away from the pain of the past. Take the path God has chosen for you, not the path man told you to go down.

BOOK EXCERPT:
Fiona Farrell's meandering travel book shows how an earthquake can change everything in a flash: the book you were writing, the house you were living in, the thoughts that preoccupied you. The Broken Book consists of four essays about life and walking, bookended by a preamble and an afterword, and interrupted by 21 poems about the Christchurch earthquakes and their aftermath. The poems jolt into the essays like aftershocks, like cracks in the text; they make you pause and reconsider. The Broken Book is funny, timely, deeply personal but never self-indulgent - it shows Fiona's talents as a writer and warmth as a human being.
