The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1968, volume 2, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from August 6 through December 29, 1968. As mentioned in the preface to volume 1, from late July through the middle of November, Brother Lee visited the Far East. From July 25 through August 22 he was in Taiwan, where he was joined by over one hundred forty brothers and sisters from the United States and Canada, along with some saints from Brazil, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Denmark, and West Germany. He then visited Manila, Philippines; Singapore; Jakarta, Indonesia; and Hong Kong. There is no record of his speaking in any of these places. He returned to Taipei in late September, where he remained until early November. Subsequently, he visited Toyama and Tokyo, Japan, before returning to Los Angeles in the middle of the month. There is no record of his speaking in Japan. He remained in Los Angeles for two weeks and then visited San Francisco, California; Vancouver, Canada; and Seattle, Washington, during the next two weeks. There is no record of his speaking in Vancouver or Seattle. Brother Lee remained in Los Angeles from mid-December until the end of the year. The contents of this volume are divided into eleven sections, as follows: 1. Twelve messages given during a training for young people in Taipei, Taiwan, on August 6 through 10. These messages were published previously in Chinese under the title The Lord's Recovery and the Fulfillment of God's Desire. The last two spoken messages were combined. 2. Nine messages given in co-workers' and elders' meetings in Taipei, Taiwan, on August 13 through 17, and in a farewell meeting on August 22. They are included in this volume under the title Turning to the Age of the Spirit. 3. Three messages given to the co-workers and elders in Taiwan in August and September. These messages are included in this volume under the title Fighting for the Truth. 4. Ten messages given in Taipei, Taiwan. The first seven messages were given in island-wide elders' meetings in late September, and the subsequent two messages were given in a church meeting on November 3 and a service meeting on November 4, respectively. Of the first seven messages, the second was previously published as chapter 6 of the book entitled Character. The final message, which appeared in Church News, number 15, November 1968, consists of a report concerning the background of the two messages given on November 3 and 4. The ten messages in this section were published previously in Chinese under the title The Motive, Coordination, and Function of the Lord's Serving Ones. 5. Several messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, in September and October. These messages were compiled and published as a single message in The Ministry of the Word, number 211, January 1969. This message is included in this volume under the title The Practice of the Pray-reading Meeting. 6. Four messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, from October 19 through 22. These messages are published in this volume under the title Gospel Messages. 7. Five messages given in Los Angeles, California, from November 22 through 24. These messages are included in this volume under the title Growing in Life and Serving the Lord for the Building Up of the Church as His Testimony. The final two messages were combined. 8. Fifteen messages given in San Francisco, California, from November 28 through December 1. These messages are included in this volume under the title Various Meetings in San Francisco. 9. Eight messages given in Los Angeles, California, on December 19 through 21. These messages are published in this volume under the title Speaking Christ to Build Up the Church for the Accomplishment of God's Eternal Purpose. 10. Thirteen messages given in Los Angeles, California, from November 17 through December 29. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1968, volume 1, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from January through early August 1968. Brother Lee remained in Los Angeles until the end of January, after which he visited Dallas, Texas; Birmingham, Alabama; and Orlando and Miami, Florida, on his way to Sao Paulo, Brazil. He returned to Los Angeles in late February. There is no record of his speaking in the cities outside Los Angeles. In the middle of March Brother Lee traveled to the eastern part of the United States, visiting Lubbock, Texas; Greensboro and High Point, North Carolina; Birmingham, Alabama; New York City and Buffalo, New York; Toronto, Canada; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Mansfield and Cleveland, Ohio; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Indianapolis, Indiana, before returning to Los Angeles in the middle of May. During this same trip he might also have visited Boston, Massachusetts; Montreal and Ottawa, Canada; and Louisville, Kentucky. The only record of Brother Lee's speaking on this trip was in High Point and New York City. At the end of May Brother Lee visited Dinuba, California, for two days and returned to spend the next week in Los Angeles. In the middle of June he traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada; San Francisco, California; and Corvallis, Oregon, before returning to Los Angeles, where he remained until the end of July. There is no record of his speaking in Las Vegas or Corvallis. From late July through the middle of November Brother Lee visited the Far East. The first ten messages, given in Taipei, were previously published as a standalone book in Chinese under the title Turning the Age and Living in the Spirit. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1981, volume 2, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee on November 2 through December 11, 1981. From December 23, 1981, through January 2, 1982, Brother Lee spoke twenty-eight messages that were published in Life-study of 1 Corinthians. The Life-study messages are not included in The Collected Works of Witness Lee. From the last week in October until the end of November, 1981, Brother Lee traveled to Seoul, South Korea; Hong Kong; Taipei, Taiwan; and Tokyo, Japan. He returned to Anaheim and ministered there until the end of the year. The contents of this volume are divided into two sections, as follows: 1. Twenty-eight messages given in Hong Kong and in Taipei, Taiwan, on November 2 through 24. These messages were translated from Chinese and are included in this volume under the title The History and Revelation of the Lord's Recovery. 2. A message given in Anaheim, California, on December 11. This message is included in this volume under the title The Center of Paul's Completing Ministry.

The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1967, volume 2, contains messages and fellowship given by Brother Witness Lee from May 11, 1967, through January 23, 1968. As mentioned in the preface to volume 1, Brother Lee visited SanF rancisco, Seattle, Vancouver, and Sacramento in May before returning to Los Angeles at the end of the month. He then visited San Francisco in June and returned to Los Angeles at the beginning of July, where he remained until the end of October. In November and early December he spent time in San Francisco and Los Angeles and also visited Modesto, California; Corvallis, Oregon; Vancouver, Canada; and Sacramento, California. There is no record of his speaking in the latter four cities. He remained in Los Angeles from mid-December through the end of the year. The contents of this volume are divided into thirteen sections, as follows: 1. Five messages given in Seattle, Washington, and Vancouver, Canada, on May 11 through 17. Four of the messages were spoken in Chinese and subsequently translated into English. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1969, volume 2, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from April 4 through August 9, 1969. As mentioned in the preface to volume 1, in early April Brother Lee made a brief visit to Waco, Texas, and at the beginning of May he visited San Francisco. At the end of May he traveled to Albuquerque, New Mexico; and then to Erie, Pennsylvania; Toronto, Canada; and Erie, Pennsylvania, a second time. Regrettably, there is no record of Brother Lee's speaking in his first visit to Erie and in his visit to Toronto. He returned to Los Angeles at the beginning of July and remained there until the end of August. The contents of this volume are divided into nine sections, as follows: 1. Six messages given in Waco, Texas, on April 4 through 6. These messages are included in this section under the title Experiencing and Enjoying the All-inclusive, Compound Spirit for the Building Up of the Church as God's Dwelling Place. The recording of one of the six messages appears to have been lost. 2. Seven messages given in San Francisco, California, on May 2 through 4. They are included in this volume under the title Praising God with Christ as the Content by Our Experiencing and Enjoying Him. 3. Nine messages given in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from May 31 through June 5. These messages are included in this volume under the title Practicing the Church Life by Exercising the Spirit. 4. Two messages given in Erie, Pennsylvania, on June 28. These messages were given near the end of a longer conference that began on June 19. Regrettably, there is no record of Brother Lee's speaking from June 19 through 27. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, Letters and Gleanings, volume 1, contains letters written by Brother Witness Lee from October 23, 1937, through October 15, 1994, and miscellaneous messages given from 1948 through 1964. The contents of this volume are divided into ten sections, as follows: 1. One hundred nineteen letters written to Brother Liu Suey on June 3, 1947, through October 5, 1981. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1972, volume 2, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from July 21 through August 13, 1972. During this period Brother Lee remained in Los Angeles, where he gave a lengthy series of forty-eight messages on the kingdom of God, mainly from the perspective of life. This volume is composed of these messages, which were published in 1980 in a fifty-chapter book entitled The Kingdom.

The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1985, volume 2, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from January 6 through September 22, 1985. In early January Brother Lee returned to Anaheim, California, from Irving, Texas. He visited Irvine, California, on January 5 and then returned to Anaheim before traveling to Taipei, Taiwan, a few days later. He returned to Anaheim near the beginning of March and remained there until the beginning of April, at which time he went again to Taipei for about two months. At the beginning of June he returned to Anaheim and, except for a brief visit to Berkeley, California, at the end of August, he remained in Anaheim until the end of September. The contents of this volume are divided into seven sections, as follows: 1. Seven messages given in Anaheim, California, on January 6 through September 22. These messages are included in this volume under the title Various Lord's Day Meetings in Anaheim. 2. Eight messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on January 22 through 25. These messages were previously published in Chinese and English in a book entitled The Proper Aggressiveness of the Lord's Serving Ones. They are included in this volume under the same title. 3. Eight messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on January 28 through February 1. These messages were previously published in Chinese and English in a book entitled The Fullness of God. They are included in this volume under the same title. 4. Five messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on April 8 through 12. These messages were previously published in Chinese and English in a five-chapter standalone book entitled On Home Meetings. The contents of this book were taken primarily from outlines and handwritten notes. After the publication of this book in 1986, audio recordings were located that provided a fuller record of the content of Brother Lee's speaking. The edited transcripts of these recordings are included in The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1985, volume 1, as chapters 10 through 14 in the section entitled Crucial Words of Leading in the Lord's Recovery, Book 6: Everyone Functioning for the Increase of the Church. These updated chapters replace the contents in the previously published edition of On Home Meetings. Therefore, the chapters printed in The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1985, volume 1, are not printed in this volume. 5. Twenty messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on April 8 through May 3. These messages were previously published in Chinese and English in a book entitled The Vision, Living, and Work of the Lord's Serving Ones. They are included in this volume under the same title. 6. Fourteen messages given in Taipei and Taichung, Taiwan, and Anaheim, California, on April 16 through July 8. These messages were previously published in Chinese and English in a thirteen-chapter book entitled The Propagation of the Gospel and the Administration of the Church. They are included in this volume under the same title. 7. A message given in Taipei, Taiwan, on April 18. This message was translated from Chinese and is included in this volume under the title Fellowship with Elders and Co-workers in Taipei.
