Artificial intelligence (AI) has been much in the news recently, with some commentators expressing concern that AI might eventually replace humans. But many developments in AI are designed to enhance and supplement the performance of humans rather than replace them, and a novel field of study, with new approaches and solutions to the development of AI, has arisen to focus on this aspect of the technology. This book presents the proceedings of HHAI2023, the 2nd International Conference on Hybrid Human-Artificial Intelligence, held from 26-30 June 2023, in Munich, Germany. The HHAI international conference series is focused on the study of artificially intelligent systems that cooperate synergistically, proactively, responsibly and purposefully with humans, amplifying rather than replacing human intelligence, and invites contributions from various fields, including AI, human-computer interaction, the cognitive and social sciences, computer science, philosophy, among others. A total of 78 submissions were received for the main conference track, and most papers were reviewed by at least three reviewers. The overall final acceptance rate was 43%, with 14 contributions accepted as full papers, 14 as working papers, and 6 as extended abstracts. The papers presented here cover topics including interactive hybrid agents; hybrid intelligence for decision support; hybrid intelligence for health; and values such as fairness and trust in hybrid intelligence. We further accepted 17 posters and 4 demos as well as 8 students to the first HHAI doctoral consortium this year. The authors of 4 working papers and 2 doctoral consortium submissions opted for not publishing their submissions to allow a later full submission, resulting in a total of 57 papers included in this proceedings Addressing all aspects of AI systems that assist humans and emphasizing the need for adaptive, collaborative, responsible, interactive, and human-centered artificial intelligence systems which can leverage human strengths and compensate for human weaknesses while considering social, ethical, and legal considerations, the book will be of interest to all those working in the field.

It is easily can be proved that the human brain equipped sense organs can work as an universal measuring tool, and measure with sufficient accuracy after some training not only a distance, mass or volume, but and parameters of important personal functions. Unfortunately, this instrument does not have an indicator device (panel) and results of measurements usually hidden in the depth of subconscious part of mind. To extract these results of measurements, at first, is needed to find an access code for this information, secondly, to deduce this information in a convenient for perception form, and after that to decipher it. Based on this approach a new method of direct measurement of intellectual parameters was used for appraisal such characteristics of intellect and mind as creativity, intuition, willpower, stress level, vital energy index, etc. Verification of the accuracy of measurement of some bio-physical parameters measured by the same method (for example number of thrombocytes in the blood) is carried out by comparison with laboratory blood tests. Research and physical measurements of a person's intellectual abilities have shown that they can change significantly from the influence of many external factors and, first of all, of light, electromagnetic and sound perceptions of the senses, both for the better and for the worse. This allows significantly increasing the capabilities and expanding the range of use of any entrainment technology. Using algorithms of multi-parameter optimization, the method allows increasing the level of intellect and its components in several times practically for everyone. Measurement of willpower and stress opens the prospect for many people to maintain their health and activity at the proper level throughout life. In the book are collected also some rules and methods allowing to support intellectual abilities of the mind on an optimum level by means of mindset management, control of the subconscious mind, cognitive control, and control emotions. Method of measurement of intellectual abilities and compatibility of team members can be used in process of the hiring, searching a bride, etc.

In the realm of psychological and brain sciences, there is a growing urgency to refine individual performance using personalized interventions that account for unique cognitive and biological attributes. Yet, the quest for such tailored approaches has proven challenging, as conventional methods often fall short. The limited integration of domain expertise and human judgment curtails the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in effectively optimizing human performance, particularly in areas like customized training, health monitoring, and cognitive enhancement. Bridging the gap between AI capabilities and the specific requirements of individuals becomes crucial in meeting this rising demand. Advances in Artificial and Human Intelligence in the Modern Era present a transformative solution to tackle the prevailing challenges at the intersection of AI and human performance enhancement. This book delves deeply into the latest empirical research, literature reviews, and methodological advancements to introduce precision AI techniques for personalized interventions. By examining how the amalgamation of domain expertise and human insights can enhance AI performance, the book establishes a comprehensive framework for modeling individual distinctions and devising effective, tailored AI approaches. Tailored for academic scholars and researchers in psychological and brain sciences, computer science, and related fields, this book provides a comprehensive exploration of pioneering advancements in the convergence of artificial and human intelligence. Its diverse chapters encompass a wide array of topics, including the identification of mental health concerns, integration of human intelligence into AI tools, enhancement of reliability, and exploration of data standards. As it fuses expertise from these two disciplines, the book paves the way for a new era of personalized interventions with the potential to revolutionize human cognitive enhancement, training, and overall well-being.
