BOOK EXCERPT:
It's been called ""profane,"" ""offensive,"" and deemed ""intolerable"" to consider its literal meaning part of the scriptural canon. Such is the hard-fought history of the Song of Songs: no other book has been so maligned, simply for existing in the Bible. In truth, the Song is exactly as it appears: an intensely passionate expression of romantic love, ascetic and sexual, between two lovers. The poetry is structured in two anti-symmetric halves: a chiasmus. The Song's lovers are forever imprinted as timeless emblems for this flawless - except godless - love; and the divine Hand enriches the Song symbolically, creating an allegorical overlay with spiritual instruction. The literal story-line and interwoven allegorical messages coexist effortlessly: rooting the Song on Earth does not limit it reaching to Heaven. The spiritual lessons imprinted in the Song are simple, profound and highly relevant to the 21st century disciple; and the manner in which they can be seen to emerge from the symbology, fascinating.

BOOK EXCERPT:
A car accident had caused her to become a wisp of a green soul, but it had actually attached itself to the body of a young lady of an official. "Since I'm here, I might as well settle down." Fang Zijun consoled himself. She received a piece of news that caused her to be stunned with her eyes wide open. One month later, they would be entering the palace for the talent show? With her title of doctor returning to the country, it shouldn't be too arduous for her to stay in the palace for three years! It was a pity that his luck had made a fool of him and offended someone he shouldn't have. "Woman, if you can't cure This King's illness, don't even think of leaving!" The man's sinister gaze, taking advantage of his pale face, trembled with fear! "Woman, you can only be This King's woman in your life!" The man lightly smiled. With a crafty gaze, he was extremely proud. "Woman, even if you have already gone to the underworld, This King will still find you and bring you back!" It was a bit domineering, with a heart piercing regret that made him wish he was dead, but there was nothing more he could do. Last night, the westerly wind withered the jade-green trees. Alone on the tall building, looking at the road, several entanglement, things are different. Once the lead flower was washed away, one would be standing on top of the imperial court, scheming to rule the world! On the palace wall, the faint smile from yesterday could be heard. After a few peach blossoms had drifted down, it was as if he was in the afterlife.

These carefully selected works can be fiction, non-fiction, historical documents or even biographies. We will always select for you three great works to instigate your mind, this time the topic is: King Arthur. - Le Morte D'Arthur By Thomas Malory - Idylls of the King by Lord Tennyson - A Connecticut Yakee In King Arthur's Court by Mark TwainLe Morte d'Arthur (The Death of Arthur) is a reworking by Sir Thomas Malory of existing tales about the legendary King Arthur, Guinevere, Lancelot, Merlin, and the Knights of the Round Table. Malory interpreted existing French and English stories about these figures and added original material. Le Morte d'Arthur was first published in 1485 by William Caxton and is today one of the best-known works of Arthurian literature in English. Idylls of the King, published between 1859 and 1885, is a cycle of twelve narrative poems by the English poet Alfred, Lord Tennyson (1809–1892; Poet Laureate from 1850) which retells the legend of King Arthur, his knights, his love for Guinevere and her tragic betrayal of him, and the rise and fall of Arthur's kingdom. The whole work recounts Arthur's attempt and failure to lift up mankind and create a perfect kingdom, from his coming to power to his death at the hands of the traitor Mordred. A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court is an 1889 novel by American humorist and writer Mark Twain. The book was originally titled A Yankee in King Arthur's Court. Some early editions are titled A Yankee at the Court of King Arthur. In the book, a Yankee engineer from Connecticut named Hank Morgan receives a severe blow to the head and is somehow transported in time and space to England during the reign of King Arthur.
