The People's Cry concerns all of the dark times that the people of this country are currently facing. With everything that is going on with the COVID-19 pandemic and all of the issues concerning social injustice, Black Lives Matter, and equality, voices for change are being heard throughout this country. The people of this country really don't know who or where they can turn to for relief. There's no denying that this country is separated as never before. In this book, I am hoping to open the people's eyes and hearts and to inspire and motivate them to look within themselves and see that they have the ability to bring about the changes that they are crying out for. All the people of this country and, for that matter, worldwide should come together as one people, stop being led from the outside, and start trying to live from within. God gave us the basics of life-love, honor, and respect. It is with all of my heart that I pray that this book open your eyes and heart to realize who and where the real true power comes from-God!

The Happiest People Cry the Hardest is a book of poems that explores the solitary experience of being alive and at the same time, the interconnectedness of all living things. The poems are like secrets or dreams that embrace both darkness and light and embody the spectrum of human emotion such as rapture and misery, laughter and sorrow, love and hate, fear and hope.

In this book, which itself is the outcome of an Award winning research work, Fr chigbo utilized the resources in Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel’s Meta-psychology of the Meaning of Human Life to study the Phenomena of the proliferation of prayer and healing ministries in Igboland. He states: The religious and spiritual world-outlooks of Ndi Igbo predisposed them to seek for meaning of life in a religious-spiritual setting. The double assaults of the invasive colonialism and Christian Missionary exploits, as well as, these catastrophes: slavery and slave trade, the Nigerian-Biafran war, Neo-Colonialism, the exploitation, marginalization, and oppression of the Igbo people motivated them to raise questions about the fundamental quality of ‘being human’ – who am I and what is the meaning of my life? The economic hardship, political instability and the attack on fundamental Igbo cultural heritage also joined forces with the other factors mentioned above to cause existential frustration and existential vacuum within the Igbo population. The author developed and explored what he calls “Heschelian Diagnostic Tool”, as well as, the ten psycho-pastoral phases in the search for the meaning in Human life. He proposed a new vision for prayer and healing ministry which is centered on the empowerment of each individual person to respond responsibly to the demand-quality of life – to engage in actions that are responses to the questions life poses before each unique individual. This is an invaluable resource for all those involved or interested in the diverse field of pastoral care.

It is my great pleasure to present to you all my fellow poets as well as my readers, the third volume of my poetry collection ‘Artanaad’ (The Cry of the Oppressed People) after the first one ‘Xarbahara’ (Proletariat) and second volume called ‘Bedona’ (Pain). As a poet, I have always believed that words have the power to touch people's hearts and souls in a way that nothing else can. With each poem that I write, I strive to capture the present trend of betrayal and complexity of the power which is trying to instill Hindu nationalism by spreading the venom of communal disharmony among Hindu-Muslim as well as in the name of Mandir –Masjid, also by abusing the nation’s constitution. The proletariat class of the country is also experiencing the present governments’ indifference towards their sufferings, emotions and expectations.
