Once described as “the most exhaustive treatise on the ‘Kingdom of God’ ever written, the late Rev. George N. H. Peters, the author of “The Theocratic Kingdom,” left many unpublished personal bible studies. These recently discovered handwritten documents are now being meticulously transcribed and prepared for publication. What makes these 100 year old studies unique is the straightforward grammatical viewpoint taken by Rev Peters towards interpretation, that the language of the Bible does not require spiritualization or mysticism to be understood, that such unjustified additions actually confuse and mislead the reader. The application of these practical Rules of Interpretation, as seen in the recently published “Testimony of Jesus” and “Testimony of John,” gives the Gospel of Luke a clear, fresh new voice given from the viewpoint of an contemporary Man who was neither an Apostle or Disciple of the Lord during his earthly ministry. The Rev. Peters clearly exposes the simple interconnected design of the book, a testimony to the true identity of Jesus as the covenanted and predicted Messiah. The Study focuses ONLY on the unique accounts of Luke not contained in the other three Gospels. Every instance in each chapter of Luke's testimony confronts the reader with this most important distinction. By the end of Luke's testimony the evidence is so overwhelming, the distinctions so clear that only one realization remains (the reason Luke wrote the book in the first place) that All of the (past-present-future) Biblical prophecies are to be fulfilled in the person of this Messiah, ONLY the Messiah has the God-given authority and supernatural power to succeed in these appointed tasks, and most importantly, that Jesus and the Messiah are one and the same person. In the plainest manner possible then, Luke spreads within the grasp of the reader the heart and soul of the Bible, the past and future hopes of mankind in this one simple truth. Luke like Jesus would ask "Believest thou this?"

From cover to cover, conception to completion this book is about Jesus. It addresses and answers the fundamental question of His identity, and mission. The book never waivers from this original purpose and structure. Who better to inform us of Jesus than John, "the discipline whom Jesus loved," the person to whom Jesus often confided in and to whom He ultimately entrusted with His own future "Revelation?" And who better to expose these truths than Mr. George N.H. Peters, gifted Bible teacher and faithful steward of the Word of God throughout his lifetime. Composed in the form of study notes, the author directs attention away from modern mystical interpretations of this Gospel towards what John intended to accomplish, i.e. confront the reader with the predicted Messiah, Jesus, and in so doing provide reasons to "believe" and through believing find the very promise of eternal life. John calls this work his "testimony," like a witness pleading before a jury of his peers he lays out a selection of evidence. He claims that he could easily have written volumes but these "things" he wrote so that the reader might believe. The beauty of this book lies in the evidence John chooses to put forth, the impact of the book (slightly over 100 years old) stems from the ability of Mr. Peters to point out these things and then allow the testimony to speak for itself. Over the last century many able men and women have undertaken to expound the Gospel of John. The reader will not find a more plainly written account than what Mr Peters penned during the last years of his life.

This book contains the author’s (George N.H. Peters) never before published 1907 study notes on the biblical book of Revelation. Mr. Peters unique approach to interpretation faithfully adheres to the the plain grammatical sense of scripture. By doing so He successfully combines biblical prophecy with oath-bound covenants (Abrahamic and Davidic) to unlock this book’s predominant symbolic language. Peters correctly identifies Jesus (not St. John) as the real source of this prophecy. He clarifies the main subject of the book as being, not a ‘Revelation’ of future events but rather, an ‘Apocalypse,’ a personal appearing. He further demonstrates through the symbols used that the ‘Day of the Lord,’ or 2nd Advent, (like the 1st Advent) will unfold in distinct stages and over a discernible period of time. Therefore, although this study is today over 100 years old the reader is instantly confronted, through this ‘Testimony,’ by Jesus, the predicted ‘Son of Man,’ righteously administering the judgements of God and proclaiming His physical return to establish His Kingdom on earth. The prophetic future series of events laid out strikes the reader as eerily similar to today’s dangerous and chaotic world.
