From his rooftop at home to a kiva in the west, Vic Nippert gives us his humorous and philosophical views of the world, the meaning of life, and growing up. His stories and humor can be read at bedtime, as pulpit homilies, and everything in between. This collection of what may be called homilies came about as the result of his church asking for material for their monthly newsletter. Having written and edited some newsletters, he knew that was a plea for help from the newsletter editor. It is a sign that the editor has run out of his own material, and they would either lose a good editor or lose the newsletter, or both! So, he said, "Okay, I can come up with something that might work with the congregation," and volunteered to come up with something every month. Someone once said that writing is easy, "just sit staring at a blank piece of paper until drops of blood start forming on your forehead!" Well, that has not happened so far, but he has come close. So he made up some rules for himself, write what he knows about, keep it easy to read and keep it short, a page or two max. Oh, and try to put some chuckles in each article, something that most folks could smile and identify with. A good number of their congregation asked him when he was going to write a book. He really stalled at that, not sure whether he was up to it or whether it would be well received, but sometime ago, he heard an adage that a man had to do three things in his life, plant a tree, have children, and write a book. So, after deep thinking, he hoped a collection of his articles would qualify as a book! He wanted to thank all the church members who enjoyed the articles (or homilies), asked for more, and then pushed him to publish this collection. Of course, no long-married writer should avoid dedicating his work to his wife. Tena has put up with a lot of interesting adventures with him, and he prays she continues to do so for a long time. They are at sixty-one years of marriage as he writes this and have four great kids who serve the public well in their professions. They are enormously proud of them. This was really an enjoyable adventure for him, and he hopes all of you find the time to put your thoughts and memories in writing too! Enjoy!

Where is this I find me? How came I to this spot? Methinks it seems familiar, yet in truth I know it not. A door with curtained windows all aflutter on the breeze. A long and twisting staircase that spirals where it climbs. A niche, standing empty, where once a statue stood. A door leading to somewhere, but it wont open for me. F. M. Bonevento has been on a poetic journey since 1980. In his second collection of poetry, he leads others through the musings of his mind, across time and space, people, and a variety of settings. As he darts into spaces sometimes known and often unexpected, Bonevento casts a lyrical light on the sacred and the mundane as well as the mythic and the mind. While exploring themes such as myths and legends; the beauty of nature; faith and prayer; and the realm of dreams, ideas, and emotions, Bonevento invites others to reflect on his introspective perspectives while taking their own unique journeys through the mind to explore ideas and feelings about the world. Musings shares a journey in verse created from one mans life experiences and reflections over a twenty-five-year period.

Infrequent Musings is a collection of honest, unapologetic perceptions to the many inevitable aphorisms of life. It marks an escape from the mundane confines of the human mind into a world where there are no rules and wrongs. It is an imaginative experience, expressed through darting words and visions, thereby posing many unsaid questions.

“Not all words can be expressed by the tongue neither is every ear here to hear. But every soul keeps humming its song secretly wishing for another soul to understand.” Solivagant musings is a collection of long and short poems. The subjects of the poems include depression, loneliness and heartbreak, each ending with a positive note because you smile the brightest when you come out of your darkness. And verses on different forms of love (mother’s love, latent love, your love for books and writing), each bringing a surge of emotion in it’s own way. It also includes verses on societal differences, femininity and harassment of women to remind the ones who are forgetting that we too belong here. It is a compilation of verses on various emotions in no particular order depicting the unpredictability of emotions offered by life. What if I said I could see your lips quiver out of pain Though you always had a perfect smile, I know how you are always ready to walk An extra mile. What if I said I could feel your pain deep in my bones As if it were mine, I know today was worse than you thought But I pray tomorrow shall be fine.

Looking over the shoulder a long way back to the point in time when Pratyusha took baby steps in the world of poetry by writing poems on her little sister, mother, environment etc and tracing her journey forward, her poems clearly reveal a gamut of emotions. What emerges is that instead of getting tied down by sentiments, she openly embraces the myriad of thoughts which surround her and gives them wings, effortlessly catching up and weaving them into spontaneous poems, capturing and savouring the flavor of that moment. This is what Whispers of Mindful Musings is all about - a kaleidoscope of thoughts in various hues and shades revealing the state of a young mind in her voyage from school years through the teens.
